Job Summary:
This position will work closely and with the guidance of the Infrastructure Manager to engineer and maintain the IT Infrastructure while establishing IT system uptime. People in this role must be good problem solvers and have strong technical ability and communication skills. They must be able to deal with ambiguity and be able to understand and provide solutions to complex problems.
Job Duties
• Support the movement of existing applications to the cloud.
• Design, deliver and deploy technical infrastructure solutions to meet business needs and workflow being built around our emerging cloud products and infrastructure.
• Develop solutions that enable access to information and applications in a secure and controlled manner.
• Participate as technical lead for IT projects as required.
• Evaluate and review systems, monitor industry trends and provide information to meet business needs.
• Plan and manage infrastructure changes and upgrades.
• Proactively monitor current solutions and suggest future development to cater for growth and improved efficiency.
• Communicate and document clearly and effectively.
• Maintain professionalism under pressure.
• Value teamwork and contribute to the group effort.
• Follow a project through its lifecycle to successful deployment.
• Flexible in working hours and available afterhours/weekends during service outages and project rollouts.
Job Requirements:
• Self-starter and ability to multi-task the workday around assigned activities and prioritize with minimum supervision.
• 10+ years' working experience as an Infrastructure Engineer or Senior Technical lead
• Perform corporate disaster recovery plans and then execute the plan throughout the year.
• Flexible in working hours and available afterhours/weekends during service outages, project rollouts, and on call schedules.
• Minimum 8-10 years' experience in a medium to large scale enterprise environment architecting, engineering, and troubleshooting the following technologies:
o Windows Server & Services (DHCP / DNS / DFS / File Services)
o Enterprise Server technology, Cisco UCS a plus
o Enterprise Storage (SAN / NAS / Fabric / etc.) Netapp a plus
o Enterprise Backup / Archive / Data Management
o Corporate VMware Environments
o Exchange
o Citrix Xenapp
o Alert consoles preferably Logic Monitor
o Working in Redhat environment's
o Cloud technology Azure a plus
o Office 365
