About the Opportunity

Vector Talent Solutions is conducting a confidential search on behalf of an established technology services organization seeking an experienced Director of Infrastructure.

Position Overview

Our client is seeking a hands-on Director of Infrastructure to lead low voltage operations throughout Florida. This is not a desk-only leadership position. The successful candidate will oversee field operations while remaining actively involved in project execution, mentoring technicians, supporting customers, and ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.

This leadership role offers the opportunity to oversee complex commercial infrastructure projects involving structured cabling, enterprise networking, fiber optics, physical security, and Audio Visual systems. The ideal candidate is a strong technical leader who enjoys developing teams, solving complex challenges, and building lasting client relationships.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage low voltage infrastructure operations throughout Florida
• Provide leadership, mentoring, and technical guidance to field technicians and project teams
• Remain actively involved in field operations and support installations as needed
• Oversee multiple infrastructure projects while ensuring safety, quality, scheduling, and customer satisfaction
• Manage project scheduling, resource planning, and operational execution
• Install, troubleshoot, and support structured cabling systems, telecommunications rooms, and infrastructure hardware
• Support fiber optic infrastructure including termination, fusion splicing, testing, and certification
• Assist with enterprise networking projects involving Layer 2 switching, Layer 3 routing, VLANs, and IP networking
• Design, install, and integrate commercial Audio Visual systems, unified communications, access control, and physical security solutions
• Read and interpret architectural drawings, electrical blueprints, CAD plans, and project specifications
• Ensure compliance with permitting requirements, building codes, inspections, and applicable industry standards
• Evaluate and implement new hardware, software, and emerging technologies
• Build and maintain strong client relationships while delivering exceptional customer service

Qualifications

• Valid Florida Low Voltage License
• Valid Florida Security and Alarm License
• Proven experience managing complex commercial low voltage infrastructure projects
• Extensive hands-on experience with structured cabling and telecommunications infrastructure
• Strong experience with fiber optic termination, fusion splicing, testing, and certification
• Solid understanding of enterprise networking including Layer 2 switching, Layer 3 routing, VLANs, and IP networking
• Experience installing and integrating commercial Audio Visual systems and unified communications platforms
• Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings, electrical blueprints, and CAD plans
• Knowledge of permitting requirements, code compliance, and inspections related to low voltage and physical security systems
• Strong leadership, communication, and team development skills
• Ability to balance strategic leadership with hands-on technical responsibilities

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with commercial physical security systems including CCTV, access control, and intrusion alarm systems
• Experience leading multi-site infrastructure deployments
• Bilingual in English and Spanish
• Strong customer relationship management and client-facing experience
