Job description

Responsibilities
  • Develop and launch new homeowners, condo, and dwelling fire products in catastrophe-exposed markets, including market strategy, rate and form filings, and business requirements for technology implementation.
  • Partner with Actuarial, Underwriting, and Distribution teams to design pricing, underwriting, and exposure management strategies that support growth and profitability objectives.
  • Monitor post-implementation portfolio performance to constantly evaluate the performance of the business and recommend actions to improve results.
  • Gather and synthesize market intelligence through competitor filings, distribution partner feedback, underwriting insights, and other market research to identify opportunities and emerging risks.
  • Lead state regulatory strategy and engagement, including rate, rule, and form filings and responses to regulatory inquiries.
  • Resolve complex cross-functional business challenges through data-driven analysis, stakeholder alignment, and execution leadership.
  • Support other initiatives as strategic opportunities dictate
Requirements
  • Min 5+ years of insurance product or state management experience with extensive exposure to ratemating, underwriting, and policy forms
  • Min 3+ years of Homeowners experience
  • Demonstrated ability to build monitoring of performance data to drive concrete pricing and underwriting decisions.
  • Experience working cross-functionally with actuarial, underwriting, and engineering teams.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with high documentation discipline.
  • Strong competency with Microsoft Excel
  • Competency with geospatial mapping tools, such as ArcGIS or QGIS
  • SQL or other data querying language preferred
  • Experience creating within a business intelligence tool, such as Omni, Looker, PowerBI, etc. a plus
