The Role:

Blue Owl is seeking a Digital Infrastructure Associate to support the team in investing and managing digital infrastructure opportunities. This role is based in Chicago.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop detailed underwriting models and financial analyses that incorporate various scenarios and sensitivities

  • Draft and prepare materials and memos to be presented to the Investment Committee, lenders, and investors

  • Assist in managing all aspects of due diligence and execution of transactions on both the buy and sell-side

  • Screening of potential investment opportunities

  • Perform extensive primary and secondary research on a target investment's market, competitors, supply/demand, comps, etc.

  • Assist in ongoing asset and fund management responsibilities

  • Travel and participate in business development activities, including on-site tours, attending management meetings, and assisting with banking and other third-party relationships

  • Special and ad hoc projects, as assigned

Qualifications:

  • 2-4 years of relevant work experience, including transaction-oriented role in real estate or infrastructure (private equity, acquisitions, development) or financial role (investment banking, structured finance, project finance)

  • Basic knowledge of real estate and/or digital infrastructure valuation and capital markets

  • An aptitude for financial modeling, research, and real estate underwriting

  • Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint required

  • Strong work ethic with acute attention to detail

  • Thoughtful presentation and communication skills (written and oral)

  • Ability to gather data, conduct critical assessments, demonstrate resourceful problem-solving skills, and present clear and concise conclusions from the analysis

  • Excellent academic background

  • Contribute to a positive culture and demonstrate selfless commitment

It is expected that the base annual salary range for this Chicago based position will be $150,000 - $160,000. Actual salaries may vary based on factors, such as skill, experience, and qualification for the role. Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus, based on factors such as individual and team performance.
