What you'll do:

  • Lead the design, implementation, and ongoing management of AWS-based infrastructure to support enterprise-scale applications.
  • Own Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, ensuring repeatable, secure, and auditable deployments.
  • Drive infrastructure scalability, resiliency, and high availability, including multi-AZ and fault-tolerant architectures.
  • Optimize system performance, capacity, and cost; proactively identify and resolve infrastructure bottlenecks.
  • Act as a technical lead and mentor for infrastructure engineers, setting standards and best practices.
  • Partner with application, DevOps, security, and data teams to align infrastructure architecture with enterprise goals.
  • Lead infrastructure reviews, audits, and operational readiness, providing recommendations for upgrades and improvements.
  • Ensure infrastructure security, compliance, and reliability in line with enterprise and regulatory requirements.
  • Stay current with AWS services and emerging infrastructure technologies to drive continuous improvement.
  • Responsibilities listed are not intended to be all-inclusive and may be adjusted as business needs evolve.

Experience you'll need to have:

  • 5+ years of experience in infrastructure design, engineering, and operations.
  • Strong hands-on experience leading AWS infrastructure (VPC, EC2, EKS, RDS/Aurora, IAM, monitoring, etc.).
  • 3+ years of experience with Infrastructure as Code, preferably Terraform.
  • 3+ years of experience with cloud networking and network management.
  • 3+ years of experience with containerization and orchestration technologies (Docker, Kubernetes/EKS).
  • 3+ years of experience working with distributed systems and platforms such as Kafka, MySQL, PostgreSQL.
  • 3+ years of experience in performance tuning, capacity planning, and optimization.
  • 3+ years of experience in infrastructure security, including IAM, encryption, and secure network design.
  • Experience with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and automation.
  • Experience designing and operating scalable, highly available infrastructure in production environments.

Experience that would be great to have:

  • Prior experience in a technical lead or senior engineering role is strongly preferred.

How you'll work:

  • This role is on-site Monday through Friday. Fiserv considers in-person collaboration to be an essential part of this role as in-person office experiences help you with your overall onboarding experience and leads to stronger productivity.
  • This role requires use of a computer and audio equipment.

Sponsorship:

  • You must currently possess valid and unrestricted U.S. work authorization to be considered for this role. Individuals with temporary visas including, but not limited to, F-1 (OPT, CPT, STEM), H-1B, H-2, or TN, or any candidate requiring sponsorship, now or in the future, will not be considered for this role.
