Role Description
The Information Technology Specialist is primarily responsible for assisting with day-to-day IT support, troubleshooting, business application support, reporting, documentation, and process improvement. This position blends IT operations support with exposure to application development, database/reporting work, business systems support, and infrastructure/security practices. The position will work closely with the Information Technology Manager. IT Team members and business users to troubleshoot system issues, document processes, support technology requests, and assist with solutions that improve business operations.
Business Applications, Reporting & Automation
  • Assist with internal application, report, and integration support.
  • Write, update, or test basic SQL queries, reports, and documentation.
  • Assist with Epicor Prophet 21 / P21 ERP business application support and issue investigation.
  • Help develop or document automation solutions that improve business processes.
  • Participate in software testing, deployment validation, and process documentation.
  • Document code, reports, workflows, troubleshooting steps, and technical solutions.

Qualifications
  • 1 to 3 years of experience in IT role involving software development, Database /Reporting, Operations or a related technical role.
  • Knowledge of SQL Server, SSRS, C#, Microsoft PowerShell, Microsoft Power Automate, Microsoft 365 administration, Windows Desktop support, and Active Directory / Entra ID, Microsoft Forms
  • Understanding of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, DNS, and DHCP.
  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, communication, and documentation skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and maintain a high sense of urgency.
  • Friendly and helpful attitude with a customer-service orientation.
  • Ability to work well independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong work ethic, documentation habits, and willingness to learn.
  • SQL Server, SSRS reporting, Power BI, Power Automate, API integrations, Azure services, or SharePoint administration.
  • Some exposure C#, JavaScript, HTML/CSS, Git, Microsoft DevOps, or other development tools.
  • ERP or business systems experience, preferably Epicor Prophet 21.
  • Knowledge of source control tools such as Git, Microsoft Devops.

Education Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience.

Travel & Physical Requirements 
  • Ability to lift and transport computer equipment up to 50 pounds when needed.
  • Occasional travel between company facilities as and when needed.
