Job description

We are seeking a highly qualified Information Assurance Analyst to support a program for IT Operations and Cybersecurity Services. The Information Assurance Analyst will provide cybersecurity expertise, strategic advisory support, technical analysis, and operational leadership in support of enterprise cybersecurity, compliance, cloud modernization, and zero trust initiatives.
The Information Assurance Analyst will support the protection of mission-critical systems, applications, infrastructure, and data assets while ensuring compliance with Federal cybersecurity mandates, including FISMA, NIST, Executive Order 14028, OMB guidance, and Department of Commerce security requirements.
Responsibilities:
  • Create and maintain all requisite security agreements and checklists [i.e., Certificate of Assertion (CoA)] and manage Information Assurance (IA) related organizational agreements with host environments.
  • Support, as needed, coordination of internal communications among IA teams and external communications with technical teams in relation to IA issues (i.e., hosting environment officials).
  • Act as liaison between the Program Management Offices, platform developers, and platform providers for scheduling, coordinating, and executing security requirements to maintain security posture. Utilize the currently accepted DoD security maintenance systems (i.e., Information Technology Investment Portfolio Suite, Enterprise Mission Assurance Support Service).
  • Comply with DoDD 8500.01E, Information Assurance and DoDI 8500.2, IA Implementation. DoDD 8500.01E establishes policy and assigns responsibilities under reference (a) of said document, in order to achieve DOD IA through a defense-in-depth approach that integrates the capabilities of personnel, operations, technology, and supports the evolution to network centric warfare.
  • Contribute to, maintain, and/or deliver to various PMOs security documentation including, but not limited to, the Information Assurance Strategy, System Security Plan, and Contingency Plan as required based upon current DoD, AF, and Program Executive Office (PEO) security policies.
