Work Environment

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments to identify the unique needs and challenges of clients, particularly older adults.
  • Develop and implement tailored treatment plans by evaluating cognitive changes, physical health issues, and social factors affecting clients' mental well-being.
  • Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions such as individual and family therapy, actively engaging clients in therapeutic processes to address various psychiatric conditions.
  • Collaborate with geriatric psychiatrists and multidisciplinary teams to ensure a holistic approach to patient care, coordinating treatment efforts to maximize outcomes.
  • Educate clients and their families about mental health conditions, treatment alternatives, and resources within the community, promoting awareness and self-advocacy.
  • Maintain meticulous and confidential documentation, ensuring compliance with all legal and ethical guidelines pertinent to mental health practices.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Our primary focus is on older adults who present with various mental health conditions. You will work closely with seniors facing challenges such as depression, anxiety, and other geriatric psychiatric disorders. Your role will be pivotal in providing compassionate care that respects their unique life experiences, helping them navigate the complex interplay of mental and physical health during this stage of life.

Qualifications
  • A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.
  • Possession of a current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPCC, or LMFT is mandatory for this position.
  • A strong knowledge of geriatric mental health disorders and effective treatment modalities is critical for successfully addressing our clientsโ€™ needs.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are essential for establishing rapport and fostering trust with elderly clients and their families.
Preferred Experience
