Work Environment

This position is primarily remote, allowing you to work in an environment that suits your preferences while maintaining flexibility. As a member of our mental health clinic, you will connect with clients virtually, conducting assessments, therapy sessions, and follow-ups through telehealth platforms. Key Responsibilities

In your role as a licensed mental health therapist, your responsibilities will include:

• Conducting thorough mental health assessments that capture the complexities and unique challenges faced by older adults, including cognitive decline and socio-economic factors.
• Formulating and implementing personalized treatment strategies based on individual assessment results, aiming to foster each client’s emotional health and overall quality of life.
• Providing a variety of evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including individual and family therapy, to effectively address geriatric psychiatric conditions.
• Collaborating with geriatric psychiatrists, primary care physicians, and data specialists to ensure comprehensive, integrated treatment plans tailored to each client’s needs.
• Empowering clients and their families through education regarding mental health issues, treatment options, and local resources available to them.
• Maintaining meticulous, confidential documentation that adheres to industry legal and ethical standards, fostering trust and accountability in clinical relationships.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on older adult patients dealing with various mental health challenges, including but not limited to depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, and the effects of dementia. Through a compassionate and informed approach, you will strive to build rapport and trust, enabling these individuals to express their concerns and actively engage in their treatment plans.

Qualifications

To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following qualifications:

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• An active and valid license as an LCSW, LPCC, or LMFT in the state of California.
• A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience, particularly in the context of geriatric mental health.

Preferred Experience

While not mandatory, the following experiences are preferred and will enhance your candidacy:

• In-depth knowledge of geriatric mental health disorders, particularly in navigating challenges faced by elderly populations.
• Experience providing both individual and family therapy, with a focus on older adult clients.
• Strong interpersonal skills that foster an atmosphere of trust and support among patients and their families.
• A deep commitment to patient-centered and culturally competent care.

Compensation and Benefits

We value our employees and offer a competitive annual salary range of $120,000 to $130,000. In addition to a robust salary package, we provide:
