Job description

Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Infection Prevention Manager, you will strategically lead and manage comprehensive infection prevention and control programs to safeguard patients, staff, and visitors.

Every day you will oversee surveillance, investigation, and reporting of healthcare-associated infections (HAIs); develop and implement evidence-based policies; educate staff; and ensure compliance with regulatory standards. You will actively monitor trends, conduct risk assessments, and lead outbreak investigations to promote a robust culture of safety.

To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate expertise in epidemiology, infectious diseases, and regulatory requirements, coupled with strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills. A proven ability to drive continuous improvement and achieve Certification in Infection Control (CIC) is highly valued.

  • Responsible for the oversight of daily operations of the infection Prevention Department in regards to the facility compliance with Hospital Accreditation Standards, State and CMS regulations

  • Identifies and implements updates to the Infection Prevention Program when new regulations and/or professional guidelines are published

  • Serves as the content expert in all infection prevention matters in support of clinical staff, performance improvement teams and hospital committees

Job Requirements

Required:

  • Bachelors in healthcare realted field with 5 years of experience or

  • Associates in healthcare related field and 7 years of experience

  • Three (3) years of experience as an Infection Preventionist in an acute care facility

  • Certified in Infection Control within 24 months
