Job Overview
The Global Architecture Data Connectivity Leader is accountable for defining, governing, and executing the global system architecture strategy for the Data Connectivity segment.
This role bridges long-term architecture, platforms, connectivity technologies, and data flow direction with near-term customer engagement, structured promotion activities, and Voice of Customer (VoC), positioning the company as a system partner rather than a component supplier.
Scope of Responsibility
  • Global Subject Matter expert for the ICT business in regards to Data Connectivity
  • Creates a network with key stakeholders on customer side
  • Global ownership of System Architecture strategy, governance, and roadmap
  • Direct leadership of a Global Architecture, System Engineering team for Data Connectivity
  • Accountability for structured promotion activities, VOC capture, and feedback loops into Product Management and R&D
  • Mapping out future connectivity architectures, network topologies, and potential TE content
  • Knowledge and innovation transfer between regions / BUs
  • Benchmarking and competition knowhow
  • TE USP definition

Key Responsibilities
Architecture Strategy & Governance (Long-term)
  • Building a high performing System Architecture team including structuring the team and hiring key talent for the Data Connectivity market segment
  • Define and own the system architecture mapping of current and future connectivity architectures to enable Product Management and Engineering to understand future technology and product needs
  • Drive architectural sharing & consistency across regions, product lines, and customer programs
  • Translate future customer connectivity and data architectures into technology and product requirements leading into Advanced and Product roadmap projects as well as potential FTAM and/or M&A activities in strong collaboration with the Business Development ORG

Customer & Market Influence
  • Act as senior technical interface to key global OEMs and Tier 1 customers
  • Elevate discussions from product level to system, platform, and architecture level
  • Represent the company in industry forums, standardization committees, and technical congresses
  • Strengthen external perception of the company as a thought leader in system architecture

Cross Functional Leadership & Alignment
  • Partner closely with Product Management, R&D, and Sales
  • Host regular cross functional and cross BU workshops
  • Serve as a technical partner to Sales and Product Management to enable competitive roadmap development
  • Bridge cross regional and cross BU alignment and drive best practice sharing
  • Convert VoC and architecture insights into:
    • Architecture mappings by product / architecture segment (TAM / PAM / CPV)
    • Convert Architecture views into future Technology & Product Requirements
    • Product and Technology Platform definitions
    • Roadmap (Advanced Roadmap & Product Roadmap) and investment proposals
  • Support portfolio decisions, technology prioritization, and (where applicable) technical due diligence for M&A

Organization & Talent Leadership
  • Build, lead, and develop a global System Architecture organization for Data Connectivity
  • Define roles, competencies, and career paths across team members
  • Coach senior technical leaders and successors
  • Promote a culture of systems thinking, customer relevance, and execution discipline

Required Qualification
  • Master's degree or higher in Electrical, Mechanical, Systems Engineering, or related field
  • 10+ years' experience in product management / engineering / architecture role
  • Proven experience working in global organizations in complex, matrix environments
  • Strong background in vehicle or industrial system architectures
  • Demonstrated ability to balance strategic horizon planning with short-term business execution

Preferred Experience
  • Commercial vehicles, automotive, off highway, or industrial systems
  • Exposure to data connectivity, networked systems, data architectures, edge connectivity, or platform strategies
  • Experience working with global OEMs and multi regional sales / FAE organizations
