NIGHT AUDITOR

Hotel Indigo Downtown Baton Rouge

A&R Hospitality | Overnight | Hourly (Non‑Exempt)

About Hotel Indigo

At Hotel Indigo Baton Rouge Downtown, we don’t do “cookie‑cutter” hospitality. Our hotel is inspired by the vibrant culture, history, and character of downtown Baton Rouge—creating a boutique experience that’s as unique as the neighborhood we call home.

As part of the A&R Hospitality family, we are passionate about delivering personalized service, thoughtful design, and memorable stays. We’re looking for a Night Auditor who shares that passion and thrives in a role that blends guest connection, independence, and precision.

The Role: More Than Just Overnight

As our Night Auditor, you are the heartbeat of the hotel after hours—ensuring every guest feels welcome, every detail is accounted for, and the property remains safe, balanced, and ready for the day ahead.

This role is perfect for someone who enjoys a calmer environment, takes ownership of their work, and values both hospitality and accuracy.

What You’ll Do

Create Memorable Guest Experiences

  • Serve as the main point of contact for overnight guests
  • Handle late check‑ins, early departures, and guest requests with professionalism
  • Answer calls, manage reservations, and solve concerns with care
  • Maintain a clean, welcoming, and organized lobby and front desk
  • Deliver service that reflects the distinctive, neighborhood‑inspired brand of Hotel Indigo

Own the Nightly Audit

  • Execute the nightly audit process with precision and attention to detail
  • Post room charges, verify rates, and reconcile daily financial activity
  • Review and correct discrepancies in accounts and guest folios
  • Balance and process credit card transactions
  • Prepare accurate reports to support daily hotel operations

Keep the Hotel Safe & Secure

  • Perform routine property walks and monitor the building overnight
  • Observe cameras, alarms, and access points
  • Respond calmly and effectively to guest needs or unexpected situations
  • Ensure all brand and safety standards are upheld

Support the Team

  • Prepare breakfast setup items to set the morning shift up for success
  • Communicate overnight activity, guest feedback, and important updates
  • Report maintenance or housekeeping concerns
  • Embody A&R Hospitality’s culture of service, accountability, and teamwork

What You Bring

Required:

  • Customer service or front desk experience preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and stay self‑motivated overnight
  • Professional, reliable, and trustworthy
  • Calm problem‑solver with excellent communication skills
  • Availability for overnight shifts, weekends, and holidays

Preferred:

  • Experience with hotel systems (PMS)
  • Previous night audit or accounting experience
  • Knowledge of hotel operations or boutique/lifestyle brands

Work Environment

  • Boutique, design‑forward hotel in downtown Baton Rouge
  • Quiet overnight setting with meaningful guest interaction
  • Flexible schedule including weekends and holidays
  • Opportunity to work independently while making a visible impact

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand, walk, and move around the property throughout the shift
  • Lift up to 25 lbs as needed
  • Perform repetitive tasks while maintaining accuracy and focus

Why Join Hotel Indigo & A&R Hospitality?

  • Be part of a boutique, experience‑driven brand that celebrates local culture
  • Work in a role that offers autonomy, responsibility, and trust
  • Gain valuable experience in both hospitality operations and financial processes
  • Join a team that values people, service, and community
