*2nd or 3rd shift for EXTERNAL candidates. Specifically for Level 2 or Level 3 experiences. (Open to Level 1 with 3+ years of experience.)

The Role
The purpose of this role is to efficiently produce digital prints and positives, maintain equipment and ensure consistent output.
Winning in this role is efficiently producing high quality digital prints, maintaining equipment to maximize uptime, working collaboratively as part of the team to ensure happy customers, and positively contributing to our Supaculture.

Key Responsibilities
Safety
  • Show commitment to health and safety by actively promoting safe work practices and proactively managing hazards, while ensuring adherence to safety policies and procedures.
Operate Digital Printers
  • Operate Digital printers to produce high quality transfers
  • Prepare, monitor, operate, verify, and inspect print production
  • Ensure all jobs are executed with precision, on time and in accordance with job specifications
  • Ensure effective waste control of excess consumables
  • Correctly complete routine operator level maintenance within trained level of competence*
  • Maintain record keeping of production metrics
Quality Control
  • Maintain a high standard of quality control, implement rigorous quality assurance measures to uphold our commitment to delivering products that meet or exceed customer expectations
  • Regularly inspect printed materials to ensure they meet quality standards
  • Make necessary adjustments to printers, within trained level of competence*, to maintain print quality
  • Conduct during-run print checks and quality control management to ensure consistency and removal of error
  • Escalate issues as needed
Maintenance and Troubleshooting
  • Perform routine maintenance on digital production printers as per company and manufacturer's guidelines, within trained level of competence*
  • Quickly diagnose and rectify any printer malfunctions or issues to minimize downtime
  • Keep a detailed log of any maintenance performed or issues encountered
  • Pre-emptive daily/weekly cleaning routines of all printers
  • Troubleshoot, escalate when appropriate
Workspace Maintenance
  • Ensure that the printing area remains clean, organized, and free from hazards
  • Maintain a system for efficiently storing tools, inks, and other consumables
Teamwork
  • Contribute to a positive work environment, encouraging collaboration and teamwork
  • Demonstrate company values in everyday work and recognize others for doing the same
  • Build and maintain trusted relationships within team and cross functionally
Communications
  • Positive, open and effective communications
  • Coordinate with printing manager/leads to produce and prioritize jobs

The physical requirements of the role:
  • Able to stand, walk, bend, kneel, stoop, crouch and twist throughout the working hours
  • Able to lift up to 40 pounds.
  • The following specific types of vision: close, color, distance, peripheral, depth perception, and the ability to adjust
Experience, skills and abilities
  • HP Indigo press experience preferred
  • 2 years screen printing, making and reclaiming, preferred
  • Technical and computer experience and ability
  • Utilize cloud-based order management system to manage projects and communicate information
  • Mechanical aptitude for troubleshooting and maintaining equipment
  • Excellent attention to detail and color perception
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Reliable transport
*Internal training and HP Indigo certification (Level 1, 2 and 3), taught at different levels for operators with varying levels of knowledge and experience, teach and certify operators to use the press safely and effectively and to maintain it properly.
