Job Title:ย HP Indigo Digital Press Operator
Department:ย Production / Print Operations
Reports To:ย Production Manager
Job Type:ย Full-Time

Position Summary

The HP Indigo Digital Press Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining HP Indigo printing presses to produce high-quality printed materials. This role ensures efficient press operation, maintains color accuracy and print quality, and works closely with production teams to meet scheduling deadlines.


Key Responsibilities

Machine Operation

  • Set up, operate, and monitorย HP Indigo Digital Pressย equipment for production runs.
  • Adjust press settings to achieve optimal print quality and productivity.
  • Monitor press performance and output throughout production.

Maintenance & Troubleshooting

  • Perform routine maintenance on press equipment.
  • Diagnose mechanical, electrical, or software issues affecting press performance.
  • Troubleshoot technical problems to minimize production downtime.

Quality Control

  • Inspect printed materials for:
    • Color accuracy
    • Registration
    • Print consistency
    • Overall quality standards
  • Ensure jobs meet customer and company specifications.

Workflow & File Management

  • Manage digital print files and ensure proper job setup.
  • Confirm files are correctly formatted for production.
  • Maintain organized workflow and documentation for jobs.

Production Coordination

  • Work closely with prepress, finishing, and production teams.
  • Coordinate production schedules to meet project deadlines.
  • Communicate press status and production updates.

Safety & Compliance

  • Follow workplace safety guidelines and operating procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and industry standards.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment.

Qualifications

Required

  • 2โ€“5 years of experience operating digital printing equipment (HP Indigo preferred)
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
  • Knowledge of digital print workflows and color management
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment

Preferred

  • Experience with HP Indigo press models
  • Familiarity with RIP software and prepress workflows
  • Print production or graphic communications background

Compensation

Hourly Rate:

  • $22 โ€“ $23ย per hour
