Job description

Indigo Research Mentor
Indigo Research matches highly motivated high school students with academic mentors to complete college-level independent research projects, such as literature reviews, research papers, or applied work like apps. As a mentor, you'll guide a student through scoping, researching, and writing their project over a multi-month engagement, working remotely via video call.

  • Demonstrated independent research output in your field (published papers, conference work, thesis, or equivalent)
  • Prior experience teaching, mentoring, or advising students - ideally with undergraduates or high school students
  • Genuine interest in working with high schoolers on long-form projects, including the patience required to scaffold college-level work for a pre-college audience

  • Steady availability and engagement throughout the mentorship
  • Comfortable with two-way feedback, both with students and the program team
