Job description

We are seeking an exceptional Full-Time Private Chef with a specialty in Asian cuisine — particularly Chinese, Vietnamese, and Korean cuisine — to join a warm, fully staffed private residence in Surfside, Miami. This role is ideal for a culinary professional who brings creativity, precision, and a deep understanding of Asian cooking within a luxury private household setting.

The Chef will work collaboratively alongside another chef as part of a highly organized household team. The typical schedule is 3.5 days on / 3.5 days off, preparing daily lunch and dinner service for two principals, with occasional dinner parties and events for 6–12 guests. The principals generally entertain once a week.

The principals are respectful and health-conscious, with a strong appreciation for fresh, high-quality ingredients, consistency, and approachable meals. The Chef will work closely with the domestic team comprised of Chief of Staff, Estate Manager, kitchen helper, assistants, and housekeeping to ensure seamless service and an exceptional dining experience

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and execute daily meals with a focus on Asian cuisines, including Chinese, Vietnamese, Korean, and other regional specialties
  • Create balanced, health-conscious menus tailored to principals' preferences and dietary needs
  • Source high-quality, fresh ingredients; manage grocery shopping and pantry organization
  • Prepare daily breakfast, lunch, and dinner, with occasional meal prep for travel or extended family needs
  • Execute both simple everyday meals and elevated, restaurant-quality dishes when required
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and fully compliant kitchen environment at all times
  • Manage kitchen inventory, including specialty Asian ingredients, sauces, spices, and staples
  • Accommodate occasional dinner parties, entertaining, or private events as needed
  • Collaborate with Estate Manager and household staff to coordinate timing and service flow
  • Ensure food presentation is of the highest standard, with attention to detail and consistency
  • Maintain strict confidentiality and professionalism at all times
  • Be flexible and responsive to changing household schedules and requests

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5+ years of experience as a Private Chef or Executive Chef, preferably within private households or high-end hospitality
  • Strong expertise in Asian cuisines, with the ability to execute authentic and modern interpretations
  • Experience with health-focused, clean, and nutritionally balanced cooking
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills
  • Ability to work independently while integrating into a private household team
  • Strong communication skills and a calm, professional demeanor
  • Knowledge of kitchen safety, sanitation standards, and private service etiquette
  • Flexible, discreet, and service-oriented mindset
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S.
