Salary Range: $58,000 to $72,000

The University of St. Thomas has provided a salary range that represents its good faith estimate of what the University may pay for the position at the time of posting. The specific salary offered will be determined based on factors such as the qualifications of the selected candidate, departmental budget, internal salary equity considerations, and available market information.

JOB SUMMARY

The Program Manager for Graduate Cohort Programs in the Opus College of Business will be primarily responsible for current student activities and prospective student engagement from initial engagement  through graduation.  This includes participation in recruiting activities as well as coordination and  delivery of co-curricular and curricular events.  The Program Manager will manage relationships and lead communications to effectively develop and deliver both a positive prospective and current student experience from initial stages of recruitment through alumni.  In addition, the Program Manager will work closely with the Senior Program Director and with faculty to engage them with programmatic direction through communication, faculty meetings and cohort feedback.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Student Services Management

  • Develops and delivers academic advising and all communications with current students in the Executive MBA and Health Care MBA Including, but not limited to: registration, grading, student issues, graduation, CME process, reflection day, global residency and final presentations and maintenance of departmental student database
  • Provides oversight to all operational components of the program's on-campus sessions including, rooms and faculty/staff scheduling.
  • Develop, maintain, and understand policies and procedures relevant to the OCB department to comply with St. Thomas, state, and federal regulations
  • Develop relationships across campus to effectively execute departmental goals, to advocate for exceptions or flexibility where needed, and to keep the department apprised of issues impacting department and/or students
  • Direct curriculum planning management, administering curriculum change, course change/creation, and submission of proposals through relevant college and university approvals
  • Develop and execute current student/prospective student mentorship program

Program operations management

  • Serves as key liaison to Director of Academic Operations to lead planning and operational aspects for assigned programs, including academic scheduling and student registration
  • Serve as main contact with faculty planning, course readiness and coordination between faculty members
  • Lead and develop efforts to deliver and improve courses and materials as integrated modules to the standards expected on best practices in Cohort programs
  • Support faculty as they develop consistent Cohort Program standards for digital and on-line experiences for students
  • Oversee LMS to ensure consistency, oversee cohort calendars and syllabi
  • Help Coordinate book purchases and course packs and manage all course material requests (Amazon, Cengage, Harvard)

Recruitment

  • Works closely with leads, applicants to successfully move through the recruitment cycle
  • Connect prospective students to current students, alumni or faculty.
  • Schedule and participate in student interviews and prospective student events

Corporate Liaison

  • Work closely with corporate partners (UHG or others) to ensure a seamless delivery of all custom cohort programs
  • Partner with Senior Director on critical UHG custom cohort
  • Participate and develop the nomination process, develop and participate in interview process, develop student on-boarding
  • Work with corporate partner to make sure all needs are adequately met and remain loyal to program
  • Develop events for the alumni of the UHG program to further engage them with St. Thomas

Program Events

  • Oversee and execute all on-campus events including but not limited to cohort weekends, orientation, student on-boarding, commencement, reflection days, final projects, global residencies, health policy day, guest speakers, cohort events while on-campus

Leadership & Supervision

  • Provides direct supervision to all student workers
  • Represents all Graduate Cohort Programs at recruiting, community outreach and alumni events
  • Participates in all interviews and coordinates and delivers all student onboarding
  • Works collaboratively with the Senior Director to manage crisis situations involving students, student organizations, and internal and external events
  • Establishment and implementation of long-term planning, development and execution of annual goals and objectives including assessment of programs, services, and activities

Alumni Relations

  • Coordinate  and develop alumni relationship management efforts with OCB and the University, collaborating when necessary with other internal stakeholders; coordinate activities that encourage alumni involvement in recruitment and outreach efforts, serve as lead for alumni advisory committee and student ambassadors
  • Create and distribute program specific newsletters on a quarterly basis, maintain and promote social media sites with alumni and current students
  • Link executive program alumni relations activities to new lead generation activities coordinated by CoB Recruiting and Admissions 
QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business, communications, or a relevant field
  • Five years of experience in program management/or office management

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience working in higher education
  • Experience working with recruitment and admissions

An equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and skills have been acquired may be substituted.
