Job description


HealthPartners/GHI is looking to hire a Medication Therapy Management Program Coordinator to join our team! Come join us as a Partner for Good and help us make an impact on the care and experience that our patients and their families receive every day.
Position Summary:
This position is responsible for the development, maintenance and promotion of HealthPartners MTM Program. Accountabilities include program coordination, evaluation, and utilization. This position works with many cross-functional teams and supports projects to promote and align department goals with HealthPartners' initiatives and maintains awareness and helps to assess the viability of the existing program. Uses health care/pharmacy knowledge, as well as program and eligibility knowledge, to screen, enroll, audit, analyze and further promote the MTM program.
Required Qualifications:
Education, Experience or Equivalent Combination:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Health Care Administration, Business, or related field OR

at least five years of experience in health care or pharmacy customer service, program coordination or related experience.
  • Minimum of two years general health care or pharmacy experience in a customer service oriented environment with a demonstrated understanding of healthcare and the HMO industry.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Strong background in customer service and care delivery.
  • Understanding of medical and pharmacy terminology.
  • Ability to establish and maintain diplomatic working relationships across all levels of organization.
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks and handle multiple issues while meeting timelines.
  • Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong Microsoft Office Word and Excel aptitude.
  • Experience with and effective use and management of automated medical management systems and computer programs, as well as working knowledge of Internet based resources.
  • Demonstrated flexibility, organizational skills, and appropriate decision-making under challenging situations.

Preferred Qualifications:
Education, Experience or Equivalent Combination:
  • Experience with MTM programs
  • Pharmacy technician, managed care or insurance setting experience.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Knowledge of CarePartner, HCSS, AHF Claims Processing System, and Epic.
