A Place Called Home is seeking a reliable and motivated Lead Direct Support Professional (DSP) / Program Lead to join our growing team. This role is ideal for someone with DSP experience who is ready to take on leadership responsibilities while continuing to provide direct support.
The Lead DSP will play a key role in supporting staff, ensuring quality care, and maintaining compliance, while also managing a small caseload of clients.
Responsibilities:

Staff Support & Leadership
  • Support and guide DSP staff during shifts
  • Assist with training and onboarding new employees
  • Help address call-outs and ensure shift coverage (in coordination with HR)
  • Serve as a point of contact for staff questions and concerns

Client Oversight & Caseload Management
  • Maintain a small caseload of clients
  • Ensure services are delivered according to each clients support plan
  • Monitor client progress and communicate updates to management
  • Build positive relationships with clients and families

Documentation & Compliance
  • Ensure staff complete accurate and timely service notes
  • Review documentation for quality and compliance (245D standards)
  • Assist with maintaining audit-ready records

Daily Operations & Support
  • Provide direct care and support to clients as needed
  • Assist with activities of daily living, community outings, and skill-building
  • Respond to client needs, behaviors, and any urgent situations
Qualifications:
  • 2+ years experience as a DSP or in a similar role
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
  • Reliable, organized, and able to multitask
  • Experience with documentation preferred
  • Familiarity with 245D services is a plus
