Primary Accountability
Responsible for the provision of high quality, comprehensive, patient centered primary health care to InterCare's Eau Claire populations.
Description of Primary Responsibilities

  • Engages fully in InterCare's PCMH service delivery model and best practices in Family Medicine.
  • Provides efficient and effective patient care according to adopted clinical standards relevant to licensure.
  • Meets daily productivity targets - Family Practice Physicians are anticipated to see 22 patients per 8-hour day.
  • Ensures strong patient focus and service excellence in patient care and with team members.
  • Meets coding documentation standards in EHR.
  • Strives to achieve UDS expected outcome measures and Meaningful Use requirements.
  • Participates constructively as a clinical team member.
  • Participates in share of call schedule responsibilities.
  • Communicates openly with partners and site manager regarding call schedules, time off, site and inbox/PAQ coverage.
  • Regularly attends all provider, site, and assigned committee meetings as appropriate.
  • Reads and responds to emails in a timely manner as outlined in policy.
  • Supervises mid-levels as assigned according to Michigan practice requirements.
  • Engages in performance improvement initiatives
Requirements

Professional and Technical Knowledge:
  • MD or DO degree with current license to practice within a designated specialty as a physician in Michigan.
  • Board Certification or Eligibility. If Board Eligible, certification required within four years of employment.
  • All other LIP credentialing and privileging requirements and maintaining a minimum of BLS certification.
  • Thorough working knowledge of prevailing standards of care, InterCare's clinical guidelines, patient care policies and procedures, and applicable accreditation and PCMH standards.
Communication Skills:
  • Possesses a professional level of written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to communicate complex concepts in a clear, effective manner.
  • Possesses excellent cross cultural communication skills and the ability to communicate professionally to patients, perspective employees, vendors, business associates and staff members at all levels.
