At International SOS Government Medical Services, you'll support healthcare programs that improve patient care and operational readiness across the U.S. and internationally. Founded in 1984, International SOS operates in more than 90 countries, delivering healthcare, medical assistance, emergency response, and workforce support services worldwide.
Job Description
You'll use your CT and X-ray expertise to provide diagnostic imaging services that help physicians evaluate and diagnose a wide range of medical conditions. Working as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team, you'll perform imaging procedures, prepare patients for examinations, maintain radiation safety standards, and support patient care within a structured international healthcare environment supporting U.S. government personnel stationed in Iraq.
Employment Type: Full-Time
Location: Iraq
Assignment: International relocation to Iraq required.
Key Responsibilities
  • Perform CT and diagnostic X-ray examinations ordered by providers to support accurate diagnostic evaluation while following established imaging and radiation safety standards.
  • Prepare and position patients for imaging procedures, explain the examination process, and help ensure patient comfort and safety throughout each study.
  • Operate and adjust imaging equipment, select appropriate exposure factors, and apply radiation protection techniques, including shielding and beam restriction, to minimize radiation exposure for patients and staff.
  • Monitor patients for adverse reactions to contrast media, follow established medication and emergency response protocols when needed, and maintain readiness to respond to medical emergencies.
  • Maintain accurate patient and departmental documentation while supporting infection prevention practices, equipment readiness, and a safe, organized imaging environment.
  • Participate in mass casualty exercises and collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare professionals to support diagnostic imaging services.

Qualifications
Requirements
  • Completion of an approved Radiologic Technology program leading to a diploma, certificate, or associate degree, or equivalent military radiology training.
  • Current unrestricted ARRT certification with ARRT CT certification/registration required.
  • Current BLS certification required.
  • 3+ years of recent Radiologic Technologist experience, including recent clinical practice within the last year.
  • U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident with a valid passport
  • Ability to obtain and maintain MRPT security clearance and meet pre-deployment physical requirements.

Preferred
  • Prior experience supporting military, government, or international healthcare environments.
