Job Description

Deliver hands-on surgical support in a collaborative clinical environment focused on patient safety, procedural excellence, and coordinated perioperative care. This position practices within an established surgical setting in Iraq, supporting physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary teams across a variety of operative procedures.
The Surgical Technologist plays an integral role in maintaining efficient operating room workflow, preparing sterile environments, and supporting safe patient care throughout the surgical continuum.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare operating rooms, surgical instruments, and sterile supplies to support efficient procedural workflow and patient safety.
  • Assist surgical teams during procedures by maintaining sterile technique, anticipating procedural needs, and supporting effective intraoperative coordination.
  • Support patient positioning, transfer, and perioperative care activities while monitoring for changes that may impact procedural safety.
  • Clean, sterilize, and maintain surgical instruments and equipment in accordance with infection prevention standards and established protocols.
  • Document surgical activities and supply usage while contributing to a safe, organized, and compliant clinical environment.
  • Participate in emergency response and mass casualty preparedness activities as part of the broader healthcare operations team.
Qualifications

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technologist program or equivalent military surgical training program.
  • Current CST or TS-C certification and current BLS certification required.
  • 3+ years of recent Surgical Technologist experience, including recent hands-on clinical practice within the past year.
  • U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident with a valid passport
  • Ability to obtain and maintain MRPT security clearance and meet pre-deployment physical requirements.

Preferred

  • Prior experience supporting military, government, or international healthcare environments.
