Join Our Team as an HR Specialist
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented HR Specialist to support our dynamic law firm. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in supporting our employees and enhancing the overall employee experience while working alongside a fractional HR leadership model.
This position is ideal for an HR professional early in their career who is eager to build hands-on experience across multiple HR disciplines in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
What You'll Do
In this role, you'll support core HR functions including:
  • Managing employee benefits and serving as a key resource for employee questions
  • Supporting recruitment efforts, including posting roles and coordinating interviews
  • Leading onboarding and offboarding processes
  • Assisting with employee relations matters and maintaining confidentiality
  • Supporting employee engagement and culture initiatives
  • Maintaining HR systems and leveraging technology (including AI tools) to improve efficiency
  • Partnering closely with an experienced fractional HR leader to execute HR strategies

What We're Looking For
  • 1-3 years of HR experience
  • Bachelor's degree in HR or related field preferred
  • Law firm or professional services experience preferred
  • Experience with HR systems (HRIS) and interest in HR technology/AI tools
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • High level of discretion and professionalism

Compensation & Benefits
Salary Range
The expected salary range for this position starts at $65,000 annually. Final compensation will be determined based on experience, skills, qualifications, and internal equity, in alignment with Illinois pay transparency requirements.
