MCRHC is a 25-bed critical access hospital, including a Level 4 Trauma Center Emergency Room seeing 3,200 visits annually. The Surgical Services department performs over 1,300 procedures annually, including specialties General Surgery, Orthopedics, ENT, Urology, Ophthalmology, Pain management, and Podiatry.

Founded more than 75 years ago as a community hospital, today we operate three clinics, 24/7 emergency services, inpatient and outpatient medical/surgical services. About The Job:
A Midlevel Provider is an Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner (ARNP) or a Physician Assistant (PA) in the Mitchell County Regional Health Center Physician Hospital Organization (PHO) who provides quality patient care in the outpatient clinic setting, Emergency Department, and outlying communities. The ARNP works collaboratively with primary care physicians, and the PA works under the supervision of approved physicians. The duties of the Midlevel Provider cannot be rigidly defined, but the following description characterizes common expectations of the position. The primary responsibilities may not be interpreted to prohibit functions not specifically identified.

The Position: .9 FTE. 72 hours per pay period.
Pay: Competitive and increase with experience.
Shift: Tuesday through Friday 8am to 5pm
Position Qualifications:
  1. Education:
    1. Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner
      1. Graduate of a Masters of Nursing program
      2. Successful completion of certification.
      3. Current license in the state of Iowa as an Advanced Practice Nurse.
    2. Physician Assistant
      1. Graduate of a CAHEA approved Physician Assistant training program is required.
      2. Successful completion of certification.
      3. Current licensure in the state of Iowa as a Physician Assistant.
  2. Experience:
    1. Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner
      1. Demonstrated competency as an Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner through previous experience is preferred.
    2. Physician Assistants
      1. Demonstrated competency as a Physician Assistant through previous experience is preferred.
  3. Special Skills, Competencies & Aptitudes:
    1. Board eligible or certified Mitchell County Regional Health Center privileges including ACLS & ATLS when working in the Emergency Room. BLS only required if provider does not have an active ACLS when working in the an ambulatory clinic setting.
    2. Excellent verbal and written skills are required, including ability to work with a team.
