This is a great opportunity to join a collaborative operations team that manages international logistics across multiple continents, ensuring the smooth and compliant movement of goods to customers throughout North America and beyond. The Opportunity As a Logistics & Operations Coordinator, you'll play a key role in managing end-to-end import logistics, working closely with global suppliers, freight partners, and customs brokers. You'll be part of a small, highly engaged team responsible for coordinating international shipments, maintaining compliance with import regulations, and ensuring on-time delivery to customers.

This position is best suited for someone who thrives in a dynamic, detail and family oriented environment and enjoys solving complex logistics challenges with a global mindset. Key Responsibilities Import Coordination & Documentation (approx. 50 containers/month) Source and compare quotes for ocean and air freight, transloading, and local delivery services.

Coordinate international shipments with vendors across Asia and Europe (e.g., Taiwan, China, India, Italy). Compile, verify, and submit import clearance documentation to U.S. and Canadian customs brokers

File and track Importer Security Filings (ISFs) accurately and on time. Monitor and track shipments (FCL/LCL) via freight portals, forwarders, and carriers; maintain accurate shipment status records. Prepare and distribute final shipping documentation packages.

Trade Compliance & Tariff Management Monitor and manage U.S. import tariffs (including ADD/CVD cases) and maintain awareness of new investigations, yearly reviews, and sunset reviews. Perform routine checks on base duty rates and communicate any updates to internal stakeholders

Follow up on Canadian import quotas (TRQ) and submit permit requests in a timely manner. Operations & Administration Manage billing, invoicing, and shipment entries within the enterprise system (Epicor Prophet 21 or similar). Verify and reconcile service provider invoices (freight, brokerage, logistics).

Support non-conformance report resolution, including investigation and issuance of credits or adjustments. Analyze freight market data (e.g., Drewry Index) and report on industry trends. Contribute to process improvement initiatives and maintain updated SOPs

Provide backup administrative support to the operations team as needed. Skills & Qualifications Minimum 3+ years of experience in North American ocean import logistics, including hands-on experience managing U.S. import tariffs and ADD/CVD compliance

Exposure to air freight and South American imports considered an asset. Strong understanding of import/export processes, customs documentation, and freight coordination. High degree of accuracy, organization, and accountability.

Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to interact effectively with suppliers, carriers, and internal teams. Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook); experience with ERP systems such as Epicor Prophet 21 is an asset. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.

Post-secondary education in Supply Chain, Logistics, International Business, or a related field preferred. Must be legally eligible to work in Canada (Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident).
