Implementation Manager

Peregrine Technologies

San Francisco, CA • On-site

Full-time

Posted 15 days ago

Job description

Backed by leading Silicon Valley investors, Peregrine helps public safety organizations, state and local and governments, federal agencies, and private-sector institutions address society's challenges with unprecedented speed and accuracy. Our AI-enabled platform turns siloed and disconnected data into operational intelligence - instantly surfacing mission-critical information to empower better, faster decisions that improve outcomes at every touchpoint. Today Peregrine supports hundreds of customers across 30+ states and two countries, serving more than 125 million people - and we're amplifying our impact as we expand into the enterprise and internationally.
Role
The Implementation Manager owns the deployment of Peregrine's platform across a portfolio of public safety customers. You will direct AI agents through configuration and integration, keep concurrent projects moving, and hold every deployment accountable from kickoff through go-live. In this highly focused role, you will work against a clear metric: timely, successful launches-and we're looking for someone who takes real pride in that.
As an Implementation Manager, you will:
  • Own the end-to-end deployment lifecycle for a portfolio of customers - from initial kickoff through network connectivity, data source integration, QA, permissions configuration, training, and go-live
  • Direct AI agents to execute integrations, configure ontologies and data models, and set up customer-specific front-end configurations - translating customer requirements into high-quality agent inputs and rigorously validating outputs
  • Drive and unblock network access and data source connectivity, including internal coordination with Peregrine's infrastructure and engineering teams and direct engagement with customer IT stakeholders
  • Facilitate virtual kickoffs and working sessions to align customer stakeholders, establish a project cadence, and map the human terrain of each agency
  • Run lean, self-service-oriented QA and training sessions that upskill customer POCs to validate their own data and engage Peregrine directly - rather than creating dependency on Peregrine staff
  • Manage permissions configuration end-to-end: gathering requirements via structured intake, directing agents to translate them into Peregrine, and testing outputs by impersonating roles
  • Maintain rigorous task management across a concurrent portfolio of deployments, surfacing blockers and escalating with urgency
  • Identify patterns across your book of business to refine agent prompts, improve deployment playbooks, and raise quality across every future deployment
What Success Looks Like
  • Deployments you manage achieve significant improvements in speed-to-value, go-live times, and sustained user adoption across the organization
  • Customer POCs leave your QA and training sessions capable of engaging Peregrine's self-service tools independently, without calling you first
  • Blockers - whether in networking, credential validation, or customer IT - get surfaced and resolved within hours, not days
  • Your agent prompts and deployment playbooks improve measurably over time, reducing variance in go-live quality across your portfolio

About you
  • You are a relentless project manager. You track every open item across your portfolio and hold every stakeholder - internal and external - accountable with precision and care
  • You are fluent in the language of data systems without necessarily being a data engineer. You know what a credential string is, can tell when a data source isn't connecting, and can work with an engineering team to diagnose and unblock it
  • You are skilled at navigating complex organizations where individuals may require some AI-upskilling. When there are roadblocks in customer deployments, you stay calm and find the path forward anyway
  • You are a clear, direct communicator - in writing and in live sessions - and you default to structured, asynchronous information-gathering over unnecessary meetings
  • You are genuinely curious about AI tooling. You'll be one of the first people at Peregrine to manage a portfolio of deployments primarily through agents, and you'll have strong opinions about how to make that better over time
  • You are a thoughtful trainer. You know the difference between a customer who is truly self-sufficient and one who just thinks they are - and you close that gap before you sign off
What we look for
  • 3-6 years of experience in enterprise software implementation, technical project management, or customer-facing deployment roles
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple concurrent implementation projects against tight timelines
  • Comfort with technical concepts - data connectivity, credential management, permissions structures, data model configuration - without necessarily writing code
  • Exceptional written communication and documentation skills; you send clear, structured updates and leave no ambiguity about next steps
  • Experience working with customers that have limited IT resources or low technical sophistication - public sector or government experience a strong plus
  • High agency, low ego. You figure things out and you keep moving

Salary Range: $140,000 - $165,000 Annually + Benefits + Equity (if applicable) + Bonus (if applicable)
Actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and specific work location. Information on the benefits offered is here.
