Job description

Role Overview

LaunchEd partners with schools to identify, evaluate, and implement innovative programs and technologies that improve teaching, learning, and school operations. As an Implementation Specialist, you'll play a key role in turning those innovations into successful, sustainable practices across a network of schools.

You'll lead end-to-end implementation of RDI initiatives—from rollout planning and professional learning to stakeholder support, adoption monitoring, and continuous improvement. Working closely with school leaders, teachers, internal teams, and technology partners, you'll ensure new programs are implemented effectively and deliver measurable impact in classrooms.

This role is ideal for someone with experience in K–12 leadership, instructional coaching, educational technology, or large-scale program implementation who enjoys leading change, building strong relationships, and helping schools successfully adopt new ways of working.

Key Responsibilities

Implementation Planning & Rollout

• Own and lead the full implementation lifecycle for RDI initiatives—including platforms, programs, pilots, and innovations across active and future CSUSA school campuses

• Develop comprehensive, initiative-specific implementation plans with clear milestones, adoption benchmarks, timelines, and accountability checkpoints

• Design differentiated rollout strategies for new schools, re-engagement strategies for underperforming sites, and sustainment protocols for mature campuses

• Anticipate and proactively remove barriers to adoption—whether logistical, technical, cultural, or instructional

• Maintain a master implementation calendar and project tracker across all active RDI initiatives

Training Design & Delivery

• Design and develop a full training ecosystem for each RDI initiative, including:

• In-person workshops for school leaders, teachers, and students

• Virtual live sessions (synchronous webinars, cohort sessions, and team meetings)

• Asynchronous learning modules (video tutorials, micro-courses, job aids, and quick reference guides)

• Onboarding sequences for new staff and newly onboarded schools

• Ensure all training content is pedagogically sound, adult learning–aligned, and directly connected to classroom and school impact

• Facilitate high-quality, engaging professional development sessions with measurable outcomes and structured follow-up support

• Continuously update and improve training materials based on feedback, platform updates, and observed implementation needs

Field Team Leadership & Network Management

• Identify, onboard, and support school-based RDI Implementation Leads (field champions) at each campus across active initiatives

• Build and manage a virtual community of practice for field leads to share progress, troubleshoot challenges, and celebrate wins

• Facilitate regular virtual check-ins and collaboration sessions with field leads to monitor implementation fidelity and keep schools on track

• Provide coaching, resources, and real-time support to field leads as they drive local adoption of RDI initiatives

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Partner closely with state teams to align implementation timelines, communication, and support structures with regional priorities and school calendars

• Collaborate with the Instructional Technology Support Services (ITSS) team to ensure technical infrastructure, device access, and platform integrations are in place prior to rollout

• Coordinate with external platform developers and vendors to stay current on product updates, provide user feedback, and ensure training materials reflect the latest features and functionality

• Work across RDI, Curriculum Instruction, School Operations, and other departments to embed new initiatives into existing instructional workflows and school routines

• Serve as a consistent and trusted point of contact for school leaders navigating multiple RDI initiatives simultaneously

Feedback Loop & Product Partnership

• Systematically collect and synthesize feedback from teachers, students, school leaders, and field leads across all active RDI initiatives

• Translate school-level insights into actionable recommendations for RDI leadership and external platform partners

• Participate in product development meetings, beta testing cycles, and platform roadmap conversations as a representative of school communities

• Maintain structured feedback channels to ensure the voices of practitioners inform the continuous improvement of every RDI initiative

Data, Monitoring & Continuous Improvement

• Establish and maintain a usage and adoption monitoring framework to track platform engagement and program participation across schools

• Analyze adoption and implementation data to identify trends, gaps, and high-performing sites

• Produce regular implementation status reports for RDI leadership with clear data, observations, and recommendations

• Benchmark adoption rates against established goals and adjust implementation strategies to close gaps and accelerate impact

Pilot & Special Initiative Support

• Serve as the implementation specialist for RDI school pilots and special innovation projects, providing embedded support, documentation, and scale-up planning

• Contribute to research documentation, pilot learnings, and future planning in collaboration with RDI leadership

• Support the design and launch of new RDI initiatives from the ground floor—informing implementation strategy before a product ever reaches a school

Communication & Strategic Support

• Communicate updates, wins, challenges, and needs to the VP of RDI with consistency, transparency, and a solutions-oriented mindset

• Contribute to CSUSAs broader positioning as a national leader in educational innovation and responsible technology integration

• Support additional RDI priorities and special assignments as directed by RDI leadership

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Education, Curriculum; Instruction, Educational Leadership, Instructional Design, or a related field

• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in one or more of the following:

• Building-level school leadership (Assistant Principal, Principal, Dean of Instruction)

• Curriculum, Instruction, or Instructional Coaching roles

• Program or initiative implementation in a K–12 setting

• Demonstrated experience designing and delivering high-quality professional development for adult learners in both in-person and virtual environments

• Strong facilitation and presentation skills—comfort commanding a room and engaging diverse audiences at all levels (teachers, leaders, district/network staff)

• Strong project planning and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives, timelines, and stakeholders simultaneously

• Proven ability to collaborate effectively across departments and with external partners

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

Preferred

• Master's degree in Education, Instructional Design, Educational Leadership, or a related field

• Experience with large-scale ed-tech platform rollouts, digital tool adoption, or multi-site implementation projects

• Familiarity with AI tools, emerging education technology, or ethical AI frameworks in educational settings

• Experience building or managing a community of practice or network of school-based champions

• Knowledge of adult learning theory and instructional design models (e.g., ADDIE, Understanding by Design)

• Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS), virtual facilitation platforms (Zoom, Microsoft Teams), and asynchronous content creation tools

• Experience working within a charter school network or multi-campus organization strongly preferred

• Familiarity with project management tools (e.g., Asana, Monday.com, Smartsheet, or similar)

Benefits

  • Competitive base salary + performance incentives
  • Professional development opportunities
