Seneca Resources is seeking an experienced ServiceNow Strategic Portfolio Management (SPM) Adoption & Enablement Consultant to support the successful implementation, adoption, and long-term optimization of ServiceNow SPM within a large enterprise HR Portfolio and Project Management organization.
This is an excellent opportunity for a ServiceNow SPM Consultant, PMO Transformation Consultant, ServiceNow Implementation Specialist, or Portfolio Management Expert who enjoys driving organizational change, training end users, and helping enterprise PMOs maximize the value of ServiceNow Strategic Portfolio Management.
The ideal candidate has extensive experience implementing ServiceNow SPM, developing PMO governance, creating training programs, and leading enterprise-wide adoption initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
ServiceNow SPM Consulting & Advisory
  • Serve as the subject matter expert for ServiceNow Strategic Portfolio Management (SPM).
  • Advise PMO leadership on portfolio, program, project, demand, and resource management best practices.
  • Recommend governance frameworks, workflows, reporting solutions, and process improvements.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline project portfolio management and improve user adoption.
Training & User Enablement
  • Develop and deliver role-based training for Portfolio Managers, Program Managers, Project Managers, Project Leads, and business stakeholders.
  • Facilitate instructor-led training, workshops, demonstrations, office hours, and hands-on learning sessions.
  • Support users during implementation, pilot, go-live, and post-launch phases.
  • Provide ongoing coaching and guidance as teams transition from legacy project management tools to ServiceNow SPM.
Process Documentation
  • Create and maintain:
    • Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
    • Process documentation
    • Job aids
    • Training guides
    • Quick reference materials
    • Knowledge articles
  • Document governance processes, project intake workflows, demand management, resource planning, and reporting standards.
  • Build a sustainable knowledge repository supporting long-term operational success.
Change Management & Adoption
  • Assess organizational readiness and identify adoption risks.
  • Support communication plans, stakeholder engagement, and change management initiatives.
  • Gather user feedback and recommend continuous improvements.
  • Establish sustainable support models and operational transition plans.
Operational Excellence
  • Drive successful adoption of ServiceNow SPM across Portfolio, Program, and Project Management teams.
  • Support governance processes and reporting standards.
  • Complete knowledge transfer activities that enable internal teams to independently manage and mature the ServiceNow platform.
Required Skills/Education
Required Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience implementing or supporting ServiceNow Strategic Portfolio Management (SPM).
  • Proven experience leading enterprise SPM/PPM transformations.
  • Experience training PMOs, Project Managers, Portfolio Managers, and business stakeholders.

  • ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist - Strategic Portfolio Management (SPM)
  • ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA)
  • PMP, PgMP, PMI-PMOCP, or similar project management certification
  • Experience implementing portfolio governance, intake management, prioritization frameworks, and resource planning processes
  • Experience supporting enterprise change management initiatives
  • Background supporting HR organizations, Shared Services, or Enterprise PMOs
