Science Teacher (Grades 3–9)
First Trinity Academy – Leesburg, Florida
Position Type: Full-Time
School Year: 2026–2027
Inspire the Next Generation of Scientists

First Trinity Academy is seeking an enthusiastic and engaging Science Teacher to teach students in Grades 3–9. We are looking for an educator who is passionate about making science exciting through hands-on experiments, inquiry-based learning, STEM activities, and real-world applications.
Our small class sizes provide the opportunity to build meaningful relationships with students while encouraging curiosity, creativity, critical thinking, and a lifelong love of learning.
Responsibilities
The Science Teacher will:
  • Teach science to students in Grades 3–9 using engaging, standards-based instruction.
  • Develop and implement lesson plans that incorporate hands-on investigations, laboratory activities, STEM projects, and interactive learning experiences.
  • Foster scientific inquiry by encouraging students to ask questions, investigate, analyze data, and draw evidence-based conclusions.
  • Teach topics including life science, earth and space science, physical science, environmental science, and introductory engineering concepts.
  • Integrate technology and age-appropriate AI tools to enhance student learning and scientific exploration.
  • Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse learning needs of students.
  • Create a positive, organized, and safe classroom and laboratory environment.
  • Assess student learning through quizzes, projects, labs, presentations, and performance-based assessments.
  • Maintain accurate attendance, grades, and student records.
  • Communicate regularly with parents regarding student progress and classroom expectations.
  • Collaborate with faculty and administration to support school-wide academic initiatives.
  • Participate in faculty meetings, professional development, school events, and parent conferences.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Science, Science Education, Elementary Education, or a related field.
  • Previous teaching experience in elementary or middle school is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of life, earth, physical, and environmental sciences.
  • Ability to create engaging, inquiry-based lessons and manage hands-on classroom activities safely.
  • Excellent classroom management, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency with educational technology and digital learning platforms.
  • Experience using educational technology, interactive simulations, and AI tools in the classroom.
