Job description

Overview

The University of Florida College of Nursing is seeking applicants holding a PhD in nursing or related health-care field for a full-time, twelve-month, 1.0 FTE non-tenure track Research Associate Professor position. The Director of Implementation Science and Outcomes Evaluation will advance UF College of Nursing strategic initiatives by leading the integration of evidence-based research into clinical practice, focusing on measurable outcomes. The role emphasizes developing, executing, and evaluating data-driven implementation strategies to improve patient outcomes and healthcare delivery systems. The Director will generate impact reports, use advanced analytics to assess intervention effectiveness, and support continuous quality improvement in clinical practice and education.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead Implementation Science Initiatives: Develop, execute, and manage the College's implementation science strategy to translate evidence-based research into nursing and healthcare practices.
  • Data-Driven Decision Making: Use advanced analytics to measure intervention impact, identify improvement opportunities, and guide strategic nursing practice and healthcare delivery decisions.
  • Impact Reports: Design and deliver comprehensive impact reports with KPIs, patient outcome metrics, and ROI analyses to support continuous improvement.
  • Collaborative Partnerships: Establish and maintain collaborations with healthcare organizations, academic partners, and community stakeholders to drive integration of innovations in clinical settings.
  • Research and Grants (10%): Serve as PI or co-investigator on implementation science projects, with a focus on securing extramural funding for translational research and innovation in nursing practice.
  • Quality Improvement: Lead data-driven quality improvement initiatives, including workflow optimization, care delivery enhancements, and outcome measurement.
  • Mentorship and Capacity Building (5%): Mentor faculty, postdoctoral fellows, and graduate students in implementation science and analytics to support evidence-based decision making in clinical settings.
  • Policy and Practice Integration: Oversee development of guidelines, policy briefs, and recommendations that drive adoption of innovative practices in healthcare, supported by data and impact analyses.
  • Training and Development: Create educational programs and workshops on analytics, impact reporting, and evidence-based practice for nursing students and healthcare professionals.
  • Leadership in Research Translation (5%): Lead dissemination of implementation science findings to improve clinical care, focusing on measurable impacts and scalable solutions in healthcare systems.
