The Impact You'll Make
As an Implementation Consultant, you'll serve as both a subject matter expert and technical systems resource, bridging the gap between complex benefits administration and seamless client experiences.
You'll lead implementation projects, manage sophisticated data processing activities, and ensure our clients receive exceptional technical support throughout their benefits journey.

What You'll Do

Daily Operations & Administration (50%)

  • Manage administrative and case management issues with minimal supervision

  • Process individual participant requests and plan-level data operations

  • Complete and peer review transactions and file postings for plan participants

  • Ensure all items are processed accurately and within agreed-upon SLA timeframes

  • Communicate with clients regarding participant inquiries requiring additional information

Technical Analysis & System Configuration (30%)

  • Apply advanced analytical skills through data analysis, troubleshooting, and eligibility logic development

  • Test and analyze system configurations against requirement documents during implementation and administration

  • Leverage sophisticated database tools to set up healthcare and group benefits databases

  • Define data fields, import data, design screens, and create queries and reports

  • Apply strong knowledge of Health and Welfare Benefit domain rules and regulations

  • Review plan documents to build plan-specific knowledge and assist with research

Quality Assurance & Project Management (20%)

  • Participate in client-specific and TELUS Health-wide project initiatives

  • Monitor project schedules to ensure deliverables are met on time

  • Collaborate with team leaders and project managers to define project scope, objectives, assignments, and timelines

  • Integrate quality assurance processes into all projects and deliverables

  • Notify project managers or clients proactively if timelines are at risk

What You Bring to the Team

Experience & Expertise:

  • 3-5 years in Benefits Administration industry, or as an Analyst/Operations Specialist

  • Demonstrated strength in analytical thinking and exceptional attention to detail

  • Familiarity with healthcare or group benefits concepts

  • Proven ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously

Technical Skills:

  • Working knowledge of Excel including VLookup, Pivot Tables, and Macros

  • Strong ability to learn new systems and processes quickly

  • Experience with data processing and analysis
