PBIRx is looking for an experienced, attention to detail person who has two to three years’ experience in Pharmacy Benefit Implementations.

JOB POSITION

The Implementation Coordinator supports the successful onboarding and transition of new and renewing clients for pharmacy benefit consulting services. This role works cross-functionally with consultants, PBMs, health plans, vendors, and internal teams to ensure pharmacy benefit programs are implemented accurately, on time, and in alignment with client objectives. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple projects in a fast‑paced, client‑facing environment.

Key Responsibilities Client & Implementation Support
  • Report to the Director, Account Management
  • Coordinate end-to-end implementation activities for new and renewing pharmacy benefit clients
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for implementation logistics, timelines, and documentation
  • Support implementation meetings, including agenda preparation, note-taking, and follow‑up items
  • Track milestones and deliverables to ensure implementations stay on schedule
Vendor & PBM Coordination
  • Liaise with PBMs, health plans, employers, unions and specialty pharmacies, and other vendors during implementation
  • Collect, review, and submit required client data, contracts, and setup forms
  • Monitor vendor readiness and resolve issues impacting implementation timelines
Data & Documentation
  • Assist with eligibility file setup, benefit design configuration, and testing coordination
  • Validate benefit setup against client contracts and consulting recommendations
  • Maintain accurate implementation documentation, workflows, and client records
Internal Collaboration
  • Partner with consulting, analytics, compliance, and client service teams to support seamless handoffs
  • Escalate implementation risks, issues, or delays to leadership as needed
  • Contribute to process improvement initiatives and implementation best practices
  • Ensure implementations align with contractual requirements, regulatory considerations, and internal standards
  • Support audit readiness and documentation retention
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
  • Two -Three years’ experience in healthcare, pharmacy benefits, insurance, or client operations
  • Strong organizational and project coordination skills
  • High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook); project management tools a plus
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with pharmacy benefit management (PBMs), health plans, or pharmacy consulting
  • Familiarity with benefit plan design, eligibility files, or implementation workflows
  • Experience working in a client-facing or consulting environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Salary and Benefits
