For over 25 years, Dixon Dance Studio has been a part of the Dixon community, providing high-quality dance education in a welcoming and supportive environment. Since opening its doors in 2001, DDS has helped generations of dancers build confidence, develop strong technical foundations, and discover a lifelong love of dance.
Today, DDS serves dancers of all ages and abilities through both recreational and performance-based programs. While our studio continues to grow, we remain committed to maintaining the family-oriented culture that has made DDS a special place for so many students and families over the years.

Current Opportunities
Dixon Dance Studio is seeking passionate, reliable, and enthusiastic dance educators to join our growing team. We are currently looking to fill 2–3 part-time teaching positions and are seeking individuals who are excited to become part of our dance family and grow alongside our thriving studio.
Ballet Teacher
We are seeking an experienced ballet instructor with a strong classical ballet background and knowledge of proper ballet progression and technique.
Preferred qualifications include:
- Strong ballet training and teaching experience
- Knowledge of alignment, injury prevention, and age-appropriate training
- Experience teaching pointe or assessing pointe readiness
- Ability to teach a range of ages and skill levels
- Strong communication skills with students, parents, and staff
Additional Dance Teachers
We are also seeking instructors with experience in one or more of the following areas:
- Preschool Dance
- Tap
- Jazz
- Ballet
- Hip Hop
- Musical Theater
Experience in the following styles is a plus, but not required at this time:
- Acro
- Modern Dance
- Contemporary Dance
What We're Looking For
All candidates should:
- Have previous dance teaching experience
- Have experience creating choreography for classes, performances, or productions
- Be passionate about working with children and helping dancers grow both technically and personally
- Be open to collaborating with fellow teachers to develop curriculum, share ideas, and create a cohesive student experience
- Have a growth mindset and a commitment to continued learning as an educator
- Be reliable, professional, and communicative
- Create a positive, structured, and engaging classroom environment

- Have a genuine love of dance and a desire to share that passion with students
