Role Overview

The Department of Dance invites a dance artist to provide professional services in recognition of their expertise, experience, and ongoing contributions to dance education in Columbus, Ohio.

Nature of Services

The Artist will serve in an outreach facilitator capacity, working with teen dancers during summer programming associated with the Department of Dance. This role is designed to support artistic mentorship and student engagement.

Professional services may include:

  • Assisting select dance workshops or movement sessions for teen and high school-aged dancers
  • Providing informal mentorship and artistic guidance to prospective students
  • Engaging with Columbus-area dance students during the Department's summer intensive activities
  • Supporting recruitment efforts by sharing personal experience
  • Serving as a professional role model illustrating pathways into collegiate dance study

Required Education and Experience: Bachelor's Degree
