Overview

Project Performer is a performing arts studio in Encinitas, CA, providing high-level training in acting, singing, and dance for students ages 518.
We are seeking a strong Dance Instructor/Coach who is passionate about developing technically sound, versatile dancers while supporting their growth as confident, well-rounded performers.
We are looking for an instructor who understands how to balance technique, performance quality, and student connection, while making training engaging, challenging, and relevant to todays dancers.
Position Details

We are hiring for:
Summer (July)
20262027 Season (AugustJune) with a consistent weekly schedule (aligned with school-year breaks)
Styles may include:
Jazz, Lyrical, Contemporary, Hip Hop, Tap, Acro (must excel in at least one; ability to teach multiple styles is a plus)
What Youll Do

Teach structured dance classes in your primary style(s) with a focus on technique, musicality, and performance quality
Build strong technical foundations that translate into turns, extensions, jumps, control, and overall movement quality
Choreograph recital and/or competition pieces when applicable
Develop dancers discipline, body awareness, versatility, and artistry
Provide clear, constructive corrections that help students improve efficiently
Maintain a focused, respectful classroom environment while still motivating and connecting with students
Adapt instruction for a range of levels, from beginner to intermediate/advanced teens
Collaborate with faculty to support dancer growth across all styles
Additional Expectations

Attend monthly team meetings (Zoom)
Participate in quarterly professional development
Attend and support our end-of-year recital
