Our Videographers are responsible for capturing the energy and artistry of our live events through high-quality video coverage. Using provided Sony video equipment, you’ll record every on-stage performance and manage the event livestream throughout the weekend. In addition to performance coverage, this role includes capturing dynamic, engaging content to support and elevate our brand across various social media platforms.
We are looking for team members who are reliable, technically skilled, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Camera Operator:

  • Set up and test all video equipment before the event begins
  • Record high-quality video of every performance
  • Set up and manage the event livestream from start to finish
  • Break down and properly store all video equipment after the event concludes
  • Apply a solid understanding of shot composition, exposure, framing, color balance, and basic audio to ensure each video is visually polished
  • Stay focused to keep all recordings in organized folders
  • Attend mandatory training
  • Follow all policies and procedures as outlined in the employee handbook
  • Perform any additional duties as assigned by the Event Director

Social Content Collector:

  • Capture social-first video content, with an understanding of horizontal vs. vertical formats and platform-specific use
  • Adjust camera settings on the fly including white balance, exposure, and framing to match environment and lighting conditions
  • Operate basic handheld video equipment (cameras, lenses, microphones, gimbals, etc.)
  • Conduct interviews or interactions with event participants and competitors
  • Follow a detailed content guide/shot list to ensure all required footage is captured
  • Maintain a keen eye for quality, ensuring shots are sharp, well-framed, and properly exposed
  • Collaborate and communicate clearly with paired on-site videographer

Qualifications:

  • Must have reliable transportation to and from events (sometimes out of state)
  • Experience using professional or semi-professional video equipment
  • Ability to work weekends (Thursday–Monday) and travel from January–May
  • Ability to manage and communicate effectively with children of various ages (3-18)
  • Comfortable working in dynamic and fast-paced environments
  • Flexibility and adaptability in responding to shifting event needs
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities

Our Photographers are responsible for capturing the excitement, artistry, and special moments of our events through dynamic and high-quality images. Using provided camera equipment, you will photograph every performance on stage and help curate standout content for social media. You will also manage and operate our event lighting equipment to ensure the best possible presentation for both photos and live experience.
This role requires strong attention to detail, a keen eye for composition, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, live event environment.
Key Responsibilities

  • Set up all photo and lighting equipment prior to the start of the event
  • Capture high-quality photos of every performance on stage
  • Photograph key moments throughout the weekend, including solo, duo/trio, and all group routines as well as awards ceremonies
  • Operate and adjust stage lighting hardware before, during, and after performances if necessary
  • Identify standout routines and upload strong photo candidates for our social media team to use
  • Apply fundamental photography skills, including shot composition, exposure, color balance, and framing
  • Break down and properly store photo and lighting equipment at the conclusion of the event
  • Attend mandatory training
  • Comply with all policies and procedures outlined in the employee handbook
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Event Director
