Dance Studio Administrator

Join Our Team

We are seeking a highly organized, proactive, and experienced Dance Studio Administrator to become an integral part of our team. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys solving problems, and takes pride in creating exceptional experiences for students, families, and staff.

Our ideal candidate is someone who doesn't simply complete assigned tasks—they anticipate needs, identify opportunities for improvement, and develop solutions that help the studio operate at its highest level.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the day-to-day administrative operations of the studio.
  • Serve as a welcoming and professional point of contact for students, families, and visitors.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally in person, by phone, and through email.
  • Create, maintain, and organize spreadsheets, reports, schedules, and administrative records with a high level of accuracy.
  • Assist with registration, tuition management, studio communications, and event coordination.
  • Develop systems and processes that improve efficiency and organization.
  • Anticipate potential issues and proactively implement solutions before they become problems.
  • Support studio owners, instructors, and staff with administrative and operational needs.
  • Maintain confidentiality while handling sensitive information.
  • Help coordinate competitions, performances, recitals, and studio events.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • 5+ years of professional administrative experience
  • Previous experience working in or with a competitive dance studio (preferred or strongly desired)
  • Advanced proficiency in creating and managing spreadsheets (Microsoft Excel and/or Google Sheets)
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • A proactive mindset with the confidence to take initiative and solve problems independently
  • The ability to think critically and develop practical solutions without waiting for direction
  • Professional, friendly, and polished customer service skills when interacting with clients and families
  • High standards of honesty, integrity, reliability, and dependability

  • Strong computer skills and the ability to learn new software quickly

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, the following experience would be a significant advantage:

  • Costume design experience
  • Sewing and garment alteration skills
