SCOPE OF INTERNSHIP:Intern will provide support for Immigration Legal Staff with current and new client cases.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Enter data into Case Management Software (LollyLaw) and other tracking systems

  • Work directly with Immigration Staff toassistwith case follow-ups

  • Conduct administrative projects to support casework

LEARNING OBJECTIVES:

  • Intern will gain a deeper understanding of current U.S.immigration systems

  • Intern will receive training andacquireknowledge of U.S.immigrationapplications,as well as eligibility requirements for various applications, filing procedures, etc.

  • Intern will develop research skills and ability to concisely summarize findings for workplace use

REQUIREMENTS:

  • CurrentenrolmentinABAaccredited Law School,Graduate Program, Undergraduate Program or have received theirbachelor'sdegree within the last year.

  • Attention to detail

  • Ability to take direction (written and oral) and to complete tasks independently

  • Must be punctual and dependable (regular attendancerequired)

  • Prior customer service experience and/or the ability to work well with othersof varied backgrounds

  • Proficiencyin Arabic, Burmese, Dari, Farsi,Karen,Pashto,Russian,Somali, Swahili,Ukrainian,orVietnamesepreferred

Compensation:This is anunpaidinternship opportunity.

Working Environment:

  • This position is in-personat our City Heights office only

  • Intern schedule subject to our businesshours Monday-Friday 8:30am-4:30pm.
