ORGANIZATION SUMMARY
World Relief is a global Christian humanitarian organization whose mission is to boldly engage the world’s greatest crises in partnership with the church. POSITION SUMMARY:
The Office Coordinator provides administrative and clerical support to all the functions of the World Relief Durham Immigration Legal Services Center (“WRD - ILSC”).  WRD is a field office of World Relief and provides immigration-related legal services to residents of North Carolina, with special focus on those living in the Triangle area and its surrounding counties.  WRD-ILC is a Department of Justice (DOJ) recognized legal service provider, and it offers direct representation and legal advice to primarily low-income immigrants regardless of their ethnicity, nationality, gender, race, religion, age, sexual orientation, or gender expression.      Please be advised that this position is contingent upon the availability of funding. 
 
This is a Hybrid role: 4 days on site, 1 work from home.
ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Facilitate in-person, telephone, or video intake of new clients, respond to telephone and email inquiries for services    
  • Provide reception to immigrants and other visitors to the office 
  •   Facilitate client communication regarding case updates, requests for new services, and referrals to other programs/legal counsel or agencies   
  • Open, distribute and process incoming mail and prepare outgoing mailings   
  • Prepare invoices and/or collect payments for WRD-ILS service fees and service agreements for legal consultations and processes   
  • Schedule in person and Zoom video appointments between clients and legal practitioner 
  •   Help in preparing immigration application forms and related case materials in consultation with accredited staff  
  • Translate documents from Spanish to English and English to Spanish 
  •   Assist staff members in organizing case files, including scanning files to computer database 
  •   Input case-related information into the computer database   
  • Assist staff members in proposed or assigned projects   
  • Assist with improvement of internal administrative systems   
  • Prepare and distribute promotional materials    
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor       
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
  • Mature and personal Christian faith

  • Desire to serve and empower the Church to impact vulnerable communities
  • Able to affirm and/or acknowledge World Reliefs Core Beliefs, Statement of Faith, Christian Identity and National Association of Evangelicals' For the Health of The Nation document
  •  High school diploma or GED 
  •   Bilingual: Spanish and English fluency in spoken and written Spanish, including the ability to professionally translate documents from Spanish to English and English to Spanish   
  • Proficient with Microsoft office, including Word, Outlook, and Excel  
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • 1+ year of work experience in an administrative position   
  • Ability to speak other languages besides English and Spanish   
  • Experience with immigration law in any setting   
  • Personal lived experience with immigration processes  
  •   Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree   
  • Experience with LawLogix case management database
