• Conduct thorough mental health assessments using culturally sensitive practices to grasp clients' individual experiences, leading to the formulation of tailored treatment plans.
• Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions for patients, adapting techniques to align with their cultural frameworks and personal narratives.
• Facilitate individual, family, and group therapy sessions, addressing a variety of mental health issues while encouraging a resilience-promoting environment.
• Collaborate effectively with psychiatrists, psychologists, and other healthcare professionals to deliver well-rounded care for our clients, ensuring all aspects of their treatment support their recovery journey.
• Provide crisis intervention and immediate supportive care during mental health emergencies while maintaining professionalism and empathy.
• Educate patients and their families on mental health conditions, available treatment options, and relevant community resources.
• Ensure the maintenance of accurate and confidential records, adhering to legal requirements and ethical standards in all documentation.
• Participate actively in case conferences, team meetings, and ongoing training in cultural competency and best practices in therapy.
• Stay updated with the latest research, treatment methodologies, and cultural trends that impact mental health therapy.

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution, is required.
• A current and valid professional license as an LMFT, LMHC, LCSW, or LCSW-R in New York State.
• An extensive understanding of mental health disorders and evidence-based treatment approaches, as well as demonstrated cultural competency in therapeutic practices.
• Experience in delivering both individual and group therapy, with a strong emphasis on culturally responsive methodologies.
• Exceptional crisis intervention skills, allowing for calm and effective action in challenging circumstances.
• Excellent interpersonal abilities and communication skills, emphasizing rapport-building with clients from diverse backgrounds.
• Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and requisite computer applications.
• A steadfast commitment to ethical guidelines, confidentiality, and maintaining professional boundaries.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team, enhancing integrated patient care.

• A minimum of two years of experience in mental health counseling, particularly in community health or outpatient settings.
• Active involvement in programs focusing on multicultural and inclusive practices.
• Familiarity with local community resources and support systems that assist diverse populations.
