What is an IHSS Provider job?

An IHSS Provider is a caregiver who assists low-income seniors and individuals with disabilities in their homes through California's In-Home Supportive Services (IHSS) program. Duties may include personal care, meal preparation, housekeeping, and transportation to medical appointments. Providers are typically paid through the state and may be family members or hired caregivers. The goal is to help recipients live safely and independently at home rather than in a care facility.
