Job description

Pagan Idol - Bartender

Pagan Idol is a Tiki bar in the Financial District of San Francisco and we are looking for a bartender. As a bartender, you will host daily escapes for our travelers by crafting experiences as well as cocktails to the backdrop of our beautiful sunken ship and tropical island. Bartenders should know classic cocktail, and craft cocktail-building techniques, and should have experience working behind a bar. Most shifts will be between 3 pm and 3 am.

Responsibilities

  • Prep, setup, and prepare the bar for daily service
  • Prioritize guest orders and strive to deliver drinks promptly and efficiently
  • Take and return a variety of payment types with accuracy
  • Assist in cleaning and sanitizing, as necessary
  • Keep work relationships professional and courteous
  • Demonstrate attention to detail

Qualifications

  • Preferred 2 years of bartending experience in busy a hotel, restaurant, or nightclub
  • Knowledge of various drink-building techniques and styles
  • Knowledge of tiki-style drinks and culture a plus
  • Managerial experience will be an advantage
  • Demonstrate an ability to maintain strong coworker relationships
  • Flexible evening availability
  • Able to take direction and follow through on all reasonable requests from managers
  • Able to stand 8 hours
  • Able to lift 25 pounds
