Job description

Substitute Secretary Position

Substitute secretary is needed for the 2025-2026 school year. The purpose of this position is to provide support to the school and its staff in the absence of the secretary. Duties include greeting visitors, managing phone calls and recording daily student attendance. The shift is 7 hours and the times vary depending on the school. In addition to the forms in the onboarding checklist, all new hires must complete a CORI (criminal record check) and be fingerprinted. CORI forms may completed at the Superintendent's Office (617 Lexington Street) or in the main office at any Waltham Public School. For information on fingerprinting, see the links below.
