Responsibilities

  • Prepare a variety of ice cream flavors and toppings, ensuring high standards of food safety and cleanliness.
  • Operate kitchen equipment such as scoops, mixers, and refrigeration units safely and efficiently.
  • Manage customer orders accurately using POS (Point of Sale) systems , processing cash, credit, and digital payments seamlessly.
  • Provide friendly, attentive customer service by taking orders, answering questions about flavors, and upselling additional treats or beverages.
  • Maintain a clean and sanitized workspace by regularly cleaning counters, utensils, and equipment to uphold sanitation standards.
  • Handle retail sales transactions efficiently while processing cash register operations with accuracy.
  • Assist with food handling tasks such as serving ice cream cones, cups, and other menu items while adhering to food safety protocols.
  • Support bussing and sanitation efforts to ensure a tidy environment for both customers and staff.
  • Demonstrate excellent time management by balancing multiple customer orders during busy periods without sacrificing quality or service speed.

Qualifications

  • Must be 18 or older
  • Be able to lift 50 lbs

  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to upsell products confidently.
  • Knowledge of food safety management practices and proper food handling procedures.
  • Ability to operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently while maintaining cleanliness standards.
  • Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math calculations, and accurate change processing.
  • Retail sales experience or grocery store background is a plus but not required.
  • Excellent time management skills to handle high-volume periods effectively.
