Job description

United Dairy Farmers is searching for full-time workers for 1st shift (5am or 6am-2:30 pm or 3:30 pm) production at our Ice Cream production facility located in Norwood, OH.  The ideal candidate would be a self-starter with good attention to detail, basic math skills, logical thinker and have mechanical ability. 

*This position does require Steel Toe Boots and Safety Glasses.  

*Work environment can involve cooled and chilled areas

*Heavy lifting and physical movements are also required.

*Must be 18 years of age or older

*Must have dependable transportation

Applicants would be expected to:

  • Operate various equipment following all Good Manufacturing Practices.
  • Willingness to learn and ability to understand the principles of manufacturing Ice Cream.
  • Learn, understand and promote Safety and Quality in out manufacturing environment.
  • Learn and understand set-up and usage of all equipment.
  • Learn and understand equipment tear down, cleaning and sanitation procedures including Cleaning-in-Place (CIP) and Clean-Out-of-Place (COP).
  • Clear and professional communication with entire team.
  • Drive the production process to ensure that the products produced meet customer specification, quality and food safety.
  • Ensure production meets targets outputs through effective control of the manufacturing process.
  • Ensure health and safety requirements are fully met and a positive safety culture is maintained.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred, food manufacturing experience a plus.
