UCT is looking for a talented Technician II to join us in Phoenix East, AZ! 

The Technician II – supports efficient logistics operations by coordinating shipments, preparing documentation, and maintaining communication with drivers to ensure timely deliveries. This role utilizes automated systems, follows packaging specifications, and assists with loading and routing updates. It contributes to operational accuracy and customer satisfaction through attention to detail, teamwork, and adherence to safety and company procedures.

Job Summary:

  • Ability to always work efficiently & effectively.
  • Ability to assist other crew members in performance of duties.
  • Knowledgeable w/ automated systems for shipping (FEDEX, UPS, DHL)
  • Able to accept and follows through when given work directions.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Performs visual transactions relative to shipments.
  • Coordinates and assists with loading of shipments.
  • Prepares dispatch logs for drivers with routs, drops and pickups, etc.
  • Maintains communications with drivers during the day and making routing updates as necessary as schedule change.
  • Prepares commercial bills of lading.
  • Prepares IBSS paperwork.
  • Ensures packaging specifications are followed per customer requirements.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Knowledgeable with automated system (FEDEX, UPS, DHL)
  • Ability to communicate effectively with crew members.
  • Able to lift up to 70.lbs.
  • Knowledgeable in packaging and labeling material
  • Follows and understand Shipping Procedures
  • Certified to drive a forklift.
  • Ability to complete work assignment within the time allotted.
  • Maintain and cleans workstation /work environment.
  • Ability to read and understand written procedures.
  • Proficient in MS Excel

Educational/Certification Requirement:

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.

 

Experience Requirement:

  • 3+ years Shipping Experience (preferred previous exp shipping to Applied Materials)
