JOB SUMMARY:
The Business Intelligence Analyst supports Calista's Accounting and Finance teams by analyzing and interpreting complex data to deliver actionable insights through reporting tools such as Costpoint BI (IBM Cognos), MS Power BI, and OnBase.
This role is part of the Finance Systems Team and contributes to the functional development, testing, and enhancement of financial reporting solutions. The analyst works with key financial enterprise applications, including Deltek Costpoint, Deltek Business Intelligence, Deltek Time & Expense, and Hyland OnBase, ensuring reporting accuracy, efficiency, and alignment with business needs.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Perform complex financial data analysis and develop reports using Deltek Business Intelligence (Cognos), MS Power BI, and OnBase reporting tools
  • Collaborate with departmental teams to understand data requirements and deliver effective reporting solutions
  • Contribute to the enhancement of data governance practices and ensure compliance with data privacy standards
  • Design, develop, and maintain dashboards, reports, and data visualizations to effectively communicate insights
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives related to financial reporting systems and processes
  • Perform other duties as assigned

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES:
  • Demonstrated experience with IBM Cognos (Deltek Business Intelligence)
  • Experience with Power BI preferred
  • Strong knowledge of accounting and finance principles and practices
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including strong documentation abilities
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment, provide direction, and offer constructive feedback
  • Ability to interact professionally and ethically with customers, vendors, and colleagues
  • Ability to operate effectively within a Native Corporation and multi-entity business environment

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science or related field
  • Minimum of two (2) years experience in data analysis and report development in an enterprise environment
  • Four (4) years of relevant experience in lieu of bachelor's
  • Experience working with business or accounting functions and terminology
  • A total of five (5) years progressive work experience will be considered in lieu of bachelor's degree
  • Demonstrated experience developing financial reports and analytics
  • Experience with Deltek Costpoint preferred
  • Ability to pass a background, drug, and reference checks
