Job Summary:
Group Nine LLC is seeking an experienced Power BI/Cognos Developer with 5+ years of experience in business intelligence, data analytics, and reporting solutions. The ideal candidate will design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards, reports, and data models using Microsoft Power BI.
Responsibilities:
• Design, develop, and maintain Power BI/Cognos dashboards, reports, and scorecards.
• Gather and analyze business requirements and translate them into reporting solutions.
• Create complex data models, measures, KPIs, and calculated columns using DAX.
• Develop and optimize Power Query transformations and ETL processes.
• Connect Power BI/Cognos to SQL Server, Azure, Oracle, SharePoint, Excel, APIs, and cloud platforms.
• Implement Row-Level Security (RLS) and role-based access controls.
• Collaborate with stakeholders, developers, architects, and project teams.
• Monitor and optimize report performance.
• Provide production support and troubleshooting.
Qualifications:
Required:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in Business Intelligence and Power BI development.
• Strong expertise in Power BI Desktop, Power BI Service, DAX, and Power Query.
• Advanced SQL development skills.
• Experience with data modeling and data warehousing concepts.
• Experience with Azure data services is preferred.
Preferred:
• Microsoft PL-300 Certification.
• Experience with Azure Synapse, Azure Data Factory, and Databricks.
• Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Experience in Healthcare, Financial, Insurance, or Government domains.
