Description

A bit about us

We’re Hyve – organiser of the world’s fastest-growing and most forward-thinking B2B events.

As the chosen event partner to many of the world’s leading companies, our platforms play a critical role in their strategies—helping them enter new markets, accelerate growth and connect with the people who matter most.

Our portfolio features some of the world’s leading events across ecommerce, healthcare, retail, fintech and technology. We're growing rapidly through innovation, acquisition and a culture that empowers ambitious people to make a real impact.

Alongside our market-leading events, we're building technology and data-driven products that create meaningful connections year-round—from hosted meetings and curated networking to digital engagement platforms.

Whatever your role, you'll join a team redefining how industries connect, collaborate and grow.

Think that sounds good? Wait until our Talent Acquisition team tells you about the culture.

A bit about you

First things first: whatever your background, beliefs or ambitions, there's a culture of belonging at Hyve—and everyone is welcome.

You'll thrive here if you're curious, commercially driven and enjoy building lasting relationships. You're someone who loves winning new business, understands complex enterprise sales, and enjoys helping customers achieve meaningful business outcomes.

Our shared behaviours guide how we work: we dare to do things differently, own our work, embrace collaboration, stay true to ourselves and others, and remember that optimism wins.

If that sounds like you, you'll fit right in.

A bit about this role

Reporting to the Head of Sales, you'll be responsible for developing and growing strategic commercial partnerships with some of the world's largest technology companies across the retail ecosystem.

This is a true enterprise sales role, focused on securing high-value, integrated sponsorship and marketing partnerships with global technology vendors, digital commerce platforms, payment providers, cloud providers, AI companies, consultancies, and enterprise software businesses investing heavily in the retail sector.

You'll engage directly with senior commercial and marketing leaders across many of the world's most recognized brands, navigating complex buying groups, long sales cycles, and multi-stakeholder decision-making to secure partnerships typically ranging from $50K to $300K+.

Rather than simply selling sponsorship, or booths and tables, you'll work as a trusted commercial partner, designing bespoke integrated marketing solutions that combine thought leadership, hosted meetings, content, digital media, networking, experiential activations, and year-round engagement to deliver measurable commercial outcomes.

Success in this role comes from building deep executive relationships, growing strategic accounts over multiple years, and consistently winning new enterprise clients that become long-term partners of the Shoptalk portfolio.

You'll collaborate closely with Content, Marketing, Customer Success and Event Operations to deliver exceptional client experiences while contributing to the continued growth of one of the world's leading retail technology communities.

As part of your role, you'll:

  • Own and grow a portfolio of strategic enterprise accounts while identifying and winning new global technology partners.
  • Secure six-figure integrated sponsorship and marketing partnerships across the Shoptalk portfolio.
  • Develop relationships with C-suite and senior commercial stakeholders, including CMOs, CROs, Chief Digital Officers, Chief Revenue Officers, Heads of Retail, Ecommerce, Partnerships, Innovation and Marketing.
  • Navigate complex enterprise buying processes involving multiple stakeholders, procurement teams and long sales cycles.
  • Build strategic account plans focused on long-term revenue growth, multi-year agreements and wallet expansion.
  • Design bespoke commercial solutions combining sponsorship, thought leadership, hosted meetings, digital media, networking, content and experiential activations.
  • Lead commercial negotiations through the full sales cycle, from initial prospecting through contract execution and renewal.
  • Maintain an accurate enterprise pipeline, strategic account forecasts and CRM activity.
  • Partner closely with Content, Marketing, Customer Success and Operations to deliver exceptional partner experiences.
  • Represent Shoptalk across the European retail technology market and maintain a strong understanding of industry trends, competitive activity and emerging technology.

Here's what we're looking for:

  • 7+ years of success in enterprise B2B sales, strategic partnerships or sponsorship sales.
  • Demonstrated experience securing and growing six-figure enterprise partnerships.
  • Proven ability to win new logos while expanding existing strategic accounts.
  • Experience selling integrated marketing solutions, sponsorship, enterprise software, SaaS, media or technology partnerships.
  • Experience selling into large enterprise technology vendors, digital commerce platforms, consulting firms, payments, cloud, AI or retail technology businesses.
  • Track record of managing long, consultative sales cycles involving multiple executive stakeholders.
  • Confident engaging with C-suite executives and senior decision-makers.
  • Strong commercial acumen, negotiation skills and strategic account planning experience.
  • Highly motivated, resilient and comfortable operating in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
  • Willingness to travel across Europe to meet clients and attend industry events.

Nice to have:

  • Existing relationships with enterprise technology companies serving the retail industry.
  • Experience selling sponsorships for flagship B2B conferences or exhibitions.
  • Strong understanding of the European retail technology ecosystem and its key players.

The Benefits:

  • Competitive base salary of 120,000 to 140,000 USD.
  • Uncapped commission structure with significant earning potential.
  • Comprehensive medical, dental and vision coverage.
  • 401(k) retirement plan with company match.
  • Competitive PTO and paid holidays.
  • This role is based in our New York City office with a hybrid working model; however, we are open to a fully remote arrangement for the right candidate.
  • Ongoing learning, development and career progression opportunities within one of the world's fastest-growing event businesses.
