Overview
Are you a motivational leader with a passion for manufacturing? Join our team in Fort Smith as an Operations Supervisor on 2nd Shift. In this role, you will facilitate the daily operation of your assigned production area(s), ensuring the highest standards in safety, quality, housekeeping, and productivity. You will play a key role in promoting continuous improvement, building strong employee relations, and driving efficiency throughout the plant.
Responsibilities
  • Work with Team Leaders to ensure lean principles are applied to all areas
  • Provide direction and support to Team Leaders
  • Monitor inventory, expenditures, and manpower in accordance with area demands
  • Seek input from employees on manufacturing processes and functional improvements through root cause analysis and collective actions while building strong employee relations
  • Communicate production requirements to production team
  • Provide direction and make job assignments as necessary to meet demands of workload
  • Enforce company policies and safety rules, ensuring equipment is properly guarded and in good working condition
  • Communicate with other departments within Hytrol to meet customer demand
  • Work with Hytrol's Safety Department and Quality Department to ensure Hytrol delivers a quality product while maintaining the safety of Hytrol's employees

Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Proven ability to lead and manage a team
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and equipment
  • Proficiency in using manufacturing software and tools
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and practices
  • Strong decision-making and problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of safety protocols and OSHA regulations and ability to enforce standards and ensure compliance with regulations
  • Ability to implement and maintain quality assurance standards.
  • Strong conflict resolution and negotiation skills.
  • Experience with continuous improvement initiatives.

Education
High school diploma or GED is required and Bachelor's degree is preferred
