Job description

The Equipment Reliability Manager will be responsible for defining and executing injection equipment reliability strategy to achieve overall injection equipment reliability goals and improve the customer experience with LSPI injection equipment. This role will function as the Business Process Owner (BPO) for Skid Maintenance and will own and manage processes and metrics related to injection equipment reliability, balancing many factors for optimal outcomes for LSPI and our customers, including investigating data from different sources to identify opportunities to further our overall reliability offering. It will heavily collaborate with the Equipment team, Commercial team and the Quality team. Receives functional guidance from the Director, Commercial and Technical Services.

Role is not limited to the above listed responsibilities and may include other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities:

  • Function as the Business Process Owner (BPO) for Skid Maintenance by developing and managing related processes and training, while analyzing and implementing process enhancements to optimize business performance and align with business goals through effective cross-functional communication and influence.
  • Leads the injection equipment reliability program and develops a defined set of goals and processes to support continuous improvement
  • Owns and manages KPIs for reliability of injection equipment
  • Leverages body of data (operational data from IOT on injection equipment, incoming work orders, etc) to appraise state of injection equipment reliability, and recommend resulting improvements
  • Closely collaborates with corporate Quality team on systems, processes, and metrics to meet stated goals
  • Provides technical leadership of reliability engineering principles, methodologies, and tools
  • Leads or oversees complex injection equipment reliability projects of large scope that may have long-term impact to LSPI
  • Leads or participates in root cause analysis and other relevant investigations
  • Owns the preventative maintenance schedule for injection equipment, including monitoring effectiveness
  • Provides monthly and annual injection equipment reliability updates to the business
  • Participates in various external forums and industry conferences to keep pace with field of reliability engineering

Required Skills & Competencies:

  • Legally authorized to work in the United States on a regular, full-time basis without restrictions.
  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, chemical, electrical or civil engineering, and seven (7) years of applicable industry experience
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills for handling multiple projects
  • Excellent proficiency in MS Suite, including Power BI
  • Excellent oral and written (electronic) communication skills
  • Ability to influence, network and deliver on commitments.
  • Willingness to travel to material suppliers, equipment fabricators or injection sites as necessary (estimated 5-10% travel).


Preferred Skills Competencies:

  • Demonstrated understanding of LSPI injection equipment
  • Demonstrated knowledge in the concepts of Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM)
  • Familiarity with Maximo, IBM’s integrated asset lifecycle management software
  • Active Professional Engineer’s license
  • Understanding of SAP and ISO requirements/standards.
