Job description

Step into a day on our maintenance team

You arrive, gear up, and begin with thorough post-operational inspections. From graders to conveyor lines, washers, and dryers, you make sure every system is safe, clean, and ready for peak performance.

Your day, in action
  • Complete daily post-operational inspections on all assigned machinery.
  • Keep equipment running safely and efficiently through scheduled preventive maintenance.
  • Diagnose and repair issues on graders, conveyor systems, washers, and dryers.
  • Lead root-cause analysis on downtime events and implement error-proofing controls.
  • Set up machines with correct packaging materials and ensure accurate date coding.
  • Manage parts inventory and maintain precise maintenance records.
  • Perform welding and metalwork as needed.
  • Handle facility and building maintenance tasks.
  • Follow all safety regulations and biosecurity rules; promptly report any violations.
What you bring
  • Strong mechanical troubleshooting and metalworking abilities.
  • Hands-on proficiency in machine repair, machine tool operations, pipefitting, and welding.
  • Working knowledge of valves, pipe fittings, bearings, motors, gearboxes, and related components.
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic drawings/schematics.
  • Clear, professional communication skills—written and verbal—with teammates and managers.
  • Comfort with basic math (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
  • Computer skills in Microsoft Word and Excel, plus job-related internet research; eager to learn new tools.
  • Organized, detail-focused, and able to prioritize and solve problems with urgency and ownership.
  • Works well independently and collaborates effectively in a team.
Safety expectations
  • Understands, practices, and enforces safe work methods: fall protection, lockout/tagout, fire protection systems, electrical safety, forklift/hoist operation, welding and cutting, PPE, and employee “Right to Know.”
Physical demands
  • Comfortably and safely performs extensive climbing, walking, lifting, bending, standing, carrying, and squatting.
