About the Role - Server

Restaurant servers are responsible for submitting guest menu selections and presenting these food and beverage preferences.  The right person will gain menu knowledge and give recommendations from our compilation of cuisine and drink offerings.  A Hyatt restaurant server will engage in casual conversation and create the restaurant experience by their style and service attributes.  This role requires strong communication skills and the ability to lift, pull, and push moderate weight. Candidate should be able and willing to support in other F&B outlets, including Drift and Market as needed. Open and flexible availability including early mornings, weekends and holidays required. Other duties include general restaurant preparation and maintaining a sanitary environment.  If you have experience as a server in a restaurant, we'd love to hear from you!

Wage Information:

The hourly rate for this position is $17.75. This is the pay rate for this position that Hyatt Regency La Jolla reasonably expects to pay.

• Food knowledge and restaurant station set-up preferred.
• Must be able and willing to obtain a California Food Handler Card within 30 days of hire (training and associated costs will be provided and covered by the company in accordance with state law).
• Must be able and willing to obtain Responsible Beverage Service (RBS) Certification within 60 days of hire for positions involving alcohol service. (training and associated costs will be provided and covered by the company in accordance with state law).
